I forgot chat time. I need good news and content at present, given the bleak news from the USA. Have always been intrigued by this place, as we used to holiday at Queenscliff and look across to the Quarantine station, when I was a kid. Can remember when Harold Holt died near there pretty vividly too. Never been to the Quarantine Station, but the Mornington Peninsula is gorgeous. Some great wineries and also The wonderful gardens of Diggers Club and pier in Dromana. Thanks for taking me on this fascinating journey!
Glad we can take you away, Fiona. Definitely worth the visit if you haven’t seen it and to be honest, we didn’t even see it all. Can’t wait to go back and see the rest of his great history. Look forward to sharing this Sunday with you will be speaking to Rob Laura. We’ve just gotten back from doing the lap going to be a very interesting episode. Have a good rest of the week. Hope to see you Sunday 5 pm. Deano
@@kingdeanoadventures Should be fantastic. Not sure if I will ever do a lap, or just keep doing sections in stints. My fly in and fly out strategy with my parred back gear for camping and cooking has worked pretty well for me, to cover a lot of this country over the years. I still have the Pilbarra to go, along with Cape York and QLD between Noosa and Townsville. Then maybe a trip into western NSW and QLD. So much still to see in SA and Vic too!
Been down there many times, living in mount Martha most of my life. To bad you didn’t do the walk all the way down they have the gun that shot The first shots of World War I were fired in Melbourne, Australia, on August 5, 1914. They were fired by a coastal artillery battery at Port Phillip Heads when the German merchant vessel SS Pfalz attempted to slip out of port before the declaration of war was made known. We often walk there to the end then catch the bus back. Lots of history.
Yes, very unfortunate but look forward to going there in the future and checking all that out. Thanks for watching the episode and thank you for all your great history on the area. Regards Deano
Hi Deano and Adam. Kim won’t be on tonight. He’s at the Crown casino it’s awards night for Weld Australia and he’s been nominated for an award 🤞 he will catch up the episode tomorrow ❤️
