I thought the 300 routes only rand on the MCI buses??
I love our neoplans. It's doesn't matter how old the bus is it's how you maintenance them NYC this have 1996-99 novabuses running. NJ Transit could of kept their novabuses too. Look at out MCI over half an million miles still sounds good. It's how you maintain them. Some company don't care, Septa had their neoplan an440 still running even tho they are a challenge to maintain. Toronto still got their gmc flexs its 2017. Beside we don't really like Low Floor buses, It's a Jersey thing. Our low powered nabis are 38ft. The lfw Nabi is 31ft, the neoplan 59ft. Jersey is a suburban state.
One day if possible please record from the front of the bus for the entire trip. You can see more of the layout from the front.

whats the difference on the 459 & 460 neos?
NJ Transit's Neoplan 459s are custom built buses. There Neoplans are 59 feet long instead of the traditional 60 feet. Apparently the reason for the shorter length from what I've read a long time ago is because of the tight corners when entering the Port Authority Bus Terminal when entering the various bus lanes. It's bull in my opinion.
They are overdue for replacement since they are past their useful lives, but NJT has a history of extending the life of a bus. Case in point NJT's 1989 Flxible Metro "B" Suburbans and transits. Some lasted 20 years and others between 17 and 19. New Flyer and Nova I don't think will custom built their respectful artic to meet NJT's needs. NJT need to get with the program and just stay with the standard length

What I think may happen is since beeline (Westchester County) is actually getting new xcelsior artics. It may open up an option for jersey to purchase beelines neoplans. NJT as you know has an all high floor fleet. Honestly, I don't think njt interested in low floors
Leona Forman no because NJT has a small fleet of 31-footers that are low floor. They also placed an order recently of New Flyer XD60s
