    Contrary to most people l actually love the aerodynamic design. And driving it feels fantastic

    Another great review as usual. I just wish they would design EVs with normal looks, it doesn't need to stand out and look awkward.

      If you like the 'normal looks' take a look at the BMW i4 - either the RWD edrive40 or the AWD M50.

    Watching from Germany 1 year later - great review especially with your personal experience how you feel driving that car, great!

    Thanks for a nice review. I do think the EQE is stunningly beautiful inside and out! This from an old retired Yank (and former BP employee) living in NorCal. I have not seen an EQE in these parts but will have to take a test drive when the local dealer gets one. Looks similar to the Lucid Air - another beautiful spaceship from the future. I recently took delivery of a BMW I4 edrive40 and am really enjoying the quality of that car and the peppy acceleration and handling. I suppose it is the poor man's EQE. But will do for now, til I win the lottery!

      Thanks for the write up! I wouldn’t look at the i4 that way, sure it’s perhaps not as traffic stopping as the EQE but it’s a fine car to be behind the wheel of! I’ve the i7 in January, save your lotto win for that 😉

    Given it’s so similar to EQS it’s a bit of a shame they didn’t do it as an estate from the off but I guess this is the main stayof the taxi market

  • @cadriver2570
    @cadriver2570 Год назад

    I know what you mean about the suspension over potholes after driving the EQS. It’s soft and pillowy, and then all of a sudden a CLUNK. The impact is much harder than it would be in an E-Class.

    Real nice interior however a detail I noticed is the cartoonish bezels of the driver’s display. Space for another inch of screen size

    Easy to scoff at the €105k price tag until you remember the price of the Model S

    Thanks Nobby great review. I think the looks are not great on this car saw one in the flesh and thought it looks a little strange. The one that I just still can't get my head around is that the modern day E Class (witch is kinda what this is) is now 90k. Really crazy.

    I saw my first 231 reg car today . It was this car , in the same colour and it looked fantastic. Actually another guy walking past stopped to look at it as well. We were both hugely impressed. However way , way out of my price range but if I won the proverbial I def take a look at it. Back to dreaming now , in the Ford Focus ...lol....Great review....cheers

    Great video Mark. Can I ask you a technical question? What is the best way you avoid wind noise pick you when filling outside in the elements? Any tips or do you just have a really good mic with noise cancelling capability? Taking a stab and reviewing a car and finding this a really annoying problem! Thanks mate

    As many have mentioned the front is just hideous, back is nice. Ultimately, there’s a reason why it got 8/10 versus the better i4 10/10

    • @thelifeofbatteries2603
      @thelifeofbatteries2603 Год назад +1

      and the front of the i4 is one of the ugliest ever designed, it's not a ground up EV either so there are many compromises with space

    Mark, good review. Not quite as hideous as a Tesla....nothing could be. But pretty close. Not the future of e. Anything but. Something an infant in art class would draw. Badly! An expensive light show that just makes electric vehicles out of reach of your average motorist. Calculate how many Pug 208e's that could be purchased for the price of this ridiculous monster. Thanks again.

    No electric car is worth their ridiculous unfair high prices.
    No there not enough electricity in our USA to power and charge electric cars.
    California now does not have enough electricity supply charging the many numbers of electric cars and this horrible state now has blackout where they forbid charging.
    Our world is also running out of materials to make the batteries that is needed so we are now damaging and devastating our earth.
    When the time comes to sell or trade-in an electric cars the poor owners are going to get a huge surprise for the depreciation of their electric cars because the cost of replacing the batteries is super expensive, about $20,000.00.
    Electric cars owners are going to get a very huge unpleasant and ugly shock.
    Be smart and AVOID buying any worthless electric car.

    That is just pure ugly. Nothing whatsoever you'd aspire to. It could be anything, but a badly designed, awkward anything. 100k+ for that....... joke. As for the inside, I didn't realise Liberace was still alive working in MB Design...it's just missing a chandelier....
