I know alot of people drop the Frightfur package but I honestly like it in this deck. It helps bait an Ash & not really dead cards due to Lubellion discard & Branded Opening as well as Super Poly. It helps further extend as well as protects Chimera from being targeted with poly in grave.
Iris swordsoul and incredible Ecclesia, the virtuous are 2 other great cards that can be used in the deck. With imperm, alubers effect negation, and dramaturge there are several ways to abuse Iris. Ecclesia is a sp summon that allows you to go into ablaz(to fuse without using branded fusion)or iris swordsoul for extra field presence/control. Another great card is hieratic seal of the heavenly spheres. It is a link but it allows you to return a monster your opponent controls and special albaz then fusion summon using another monster your opponent controls all during opponents turn.
I was looking to build a variant of this that has some of the swordsouls for other plays, Throw some curveballs so people don't expect just fusion plays. It'd be with friends so I don't have to worry about hand traps
@@CaptVooDooGaming well branded fusion and opening restricts you to fusion summons. You could try blending but honestly seems to me it may brick occasionally. Go into your swordsoul play first then into the branded despia plays. I will look into this for you. See if I can make it.

This deck can turbo out Dark Dragoon so easy! You can use Branded Fusion to make Titaniklad or Brigrand using Albaz and Dark Magician, then fuse into Lubellion to shuffle Albaz and Dark Magician back into the deck for Dragoon. Or you can use the Despia field spell if you hard draw into Dark Magician, and literally any dragon (Albaz or Albion the Shrouded). You don't need Anaconda anymore or REF.

The two of hand traps is something I’ve always preached. Opening up with two different hand traps is effective but opening two or three of the same one isn’t gonna win you the game. Playing two just sounds better if you’re trying to see a bigger variety
@@omfgusername002 the point is to reduce that percentage. If u run 4 three ofs u have 12 hand traps. If u run 6 two ofs, you still have 12 hand traps. Just a bigger variety to potentially help in difficult situations. Opening three ash is horrible. Two ash and a nib is better to open
@@metalona1216 of course you build a deck to compete and win, but in addition you need to make sure you can play the game even with your worst hand. You can’t swear by percentage and get upset when you draw a brick hand. That’s why I said what I said about the two of hand traps, there will be a time you open three ash and be left relying on your top deck draw to see more engine

This list is just like mine though I’m playing Dragoon over DPE. Also Instead of Pot of prosperity I’m playing Triple Tactics Talent. Also playing the Patchwork Edge Imp engine so chimera is protected.

i made an albaz deck in master duel. its a shame some of the really strong cards aint in the game yet. But the the art of the cards MORE than makes up for its strength

It may not Search all the Branded Cards But Keeper of Dragon Magic Is a very good replacement to Aluber. It searches the Branded Fusion and Sets an albaz for Super Poly plays. Also its in the Structure
The Fallen of Albaz deck you can make so many ways. I was waiting for the Structure deck and going for the pure version. At least Jester going to be in Ghost from the Past 2 because he is stupid high. But Sam I'm coming for the box break for Ghost from the Past 2 set because I going for all the Agent support 😤. It's just absolutely crazy Konami didn't give us the Agents Structure deck here in TCG 🤦🏾😒
I would love to see more Albaz decks that don't utilize the despia engine. (I don't like complaining about cards costing money, but damn, the engine is so much..) :P Also Sam at 9:24 says "holy--" which is something me and my friends say like all the time. For years. Haha
I discovered despia and loved the deck when they were first announced! I played despia before it was announced branded fusion and became meta its a deck where it needs fusion! And needs to be consistent! 10 handtraps is a major. MAJOR! Brick for this deck. Dnt listen to Sam to putting 10. 6 is good even maybe 8 if you can work around it. But 10 is too many handtraps that bricks this deck. Incredible eccelisa helps this deck. Idk why nobody is playing this card in the despia deck. It’s a special summon also get a fallen albaz or swordsoul which I play 1 Iris in the deck for a pop draw & special summon. Ultra poly is good in this deck. Idk but everybody hyping this deck is coo and all as someone who’s been playing despi since they came out & watching it go off in the ocg..but the ocg works bcz of maxx c..& esp w/adventure token
I agree this deck profile is bricky and quite bad, no super poly, no ecclessia, no edge imp or frightfur it’s mental, I don’t think Sam understands the decks potential
I love Branded Despia in master duel, this deck got me to go out and buy cards for the first time. Trying to recreate my deck in MD. I also have dogmatika mixed in. The deck is basically a big F U to the extra deck. Albaz yeets most boss monsters the opponent has to use as fusion material, Dogmatika floods the field with anti extra deck monsters. Despia gives Albaz extra summonings therefore more targets to use as material, and they flood the board as well. Despurgia summoning himself when used as fusion material is just busted. Then he just negates any extra deck monster that comes out while he's on the field. Love this deck.
Aluber and the rest of the Despia monster cards getting a reprint in Ghost From The Past 2 for everyone wondering. Branded Opening unfortunately won’t be in the set though.
I have tested the poly build, the brave build and a similar handtrap build to this. I have to say I’ve had the most success with the hand trap build. Grant it my draw power is upstart and two TTT but even if I don’t see any of my engine cards it usually means I have like three handtraps to stop my opponent 😂

I'm not sure what you mean with adding more bricks with the dragoon package. Doesn't the dragoon package have less bricks because all you're adding to the deck is the hex-sealed fusion? I feel the DPE package has more bricks IMO, but maybe someone could enlighten me if I'm wrong 🤷🏽♂️
You should defo try Poseidra deck. It is my first and only deck which is so amazing. Basically "Defense is the best offense." Even if they got harpies or MST you can still win cuz there is op strat with Forgotten Temple of the deep and Tornado wall
I put xyz rebel dragon and clearwing dragon in because the hand traps are also tuner and rebel dragon will save you if you have 2 level 4 monsters on the field if you dont have the cards for your main combo
For dragoon, all u need is dark magician. 8 make level 8 fusons for days in that deck. Just shove dark magician, all u need is a dragon effect monster. Albaz and most of fhe fusions arw dragon effects
Allure is one of those cards that seems really good on paper but you’re not actually getting a plus, you’re breaking even on card advantage because you use one card to draw two and banish one so you end up with the same amount of cards. Cards like Extrav and Prosperity are much better and Desires is better as well. Here’s to hoping they put Desires back to 3 on the next list.
I have a challenge for you. Can you make a fire impossible to beat Acranite magician deck. It's one of my favorite cards and I haven't seen a good deck for it yet

So I don’t agree with you saying that playing Dragoon adds more bricks than the DPE engine. Dragoon engine adds 1 single card to the deck being Light Hex or Dark Magician. Dark Magician is a dark monster with 2,500 ATK…. Albaz can work with both of those, as can your Despia monsters. Also if you feel you need to play the DPE engine, play Mali and Denier with Dangerous in the extra deck. That way, Fusion Destiny becomes a starter for your Despia engine, and it allows multiple bodies on board for Chimera to pop 2 cards instead of the 1 you typically get.
How do you feel about going back to Buster Blader using some of the support from the newer packs? You could make a more synchro focused Baronne deck or a much more super poly focused deck. Or maybe even a mixture of both?
Making me want to invest in some actual cards to go and play somewhere, I thought I’d only play online games now but I guess things can be changed haha.
Personally I would throw in nibiru and kaijus and super poly instead of the hand traps route and make it a going second deck. This deck is so versatile you can pretty much play it however you want.
Prefer Dramaturge instead of ad lib, ideally you need to run edge imp, Frightfur patchwork and poly for Chimera, it’s less bricky with the hex instead of DM and red eyes
Ad lib gets mirrorjade back tho, drama is just a veiler on sum of extra deck monster, also mirrorjade blows board ep, activating in mp so they have to diverge their plays to get around it
Allure of darkness anyone? You draw the 2 cards and happen to banish tragedy and get a search. If not lubellion will recycle any monster sent by allure. Pot of prosperity halves damage opponent takes, requires banishing facedown 3-6 monsters from extra deck, and stops you from drawing the rest of the turn just to add 1 card to hand.
Sam, if I was go with a slightly more budget friendly version and used dark law instead of phoenix, what cards would you recommend I substitute in for the destiny cards?
I guess you didn’t need any assistance with the x3 structure build, and that’s fine. I just found it difficult because most of the cards were essentially useless.

Don't use dark magician, it's better with The Light

Ur also negging with this above play if you only play 1 lubellion. You should be shuffling lubellion almost every time you use its effect

Just play 3 of each for every one you cut you lose about 10% chance of drawing it which is huge

You can run the dragoon package because the only garnet you use is The Light - Hex Sealed. Its used as a sub for dark magician.

I put xyz rebel dragon and clearwing dragon in because the hand traps are also tuner and rebel dragon will save you if you have 2 level 4 monsters on the field if you dont have the cards for your main combo

Not really sure why so many ppl don't play allure? I feel like the potential with allure plus tragedy is too good to pass up.
Allure is one of those cards that seems really good on paper but you’re not actually getting a plus, you’re breaking even on card advantage because you use one card to draw two and banish one so you end up with the same amount of cards. Cards like Extrav and Prosperity are much better and Desires is better as well. Here’s to hoping they put Desires back to 3 on the next list.

So I don’t agree with you saying that playing Dragoon adds more bricks than the DPE engine. Dragoon engine adds 1 single card to the deck being Light Hex or Dark Magician. Dark Magician is a dark monster with 2,500 ATK…. Albaz can work with both of those, as can your Despia monsters.
Also if you feel you need to play the DPE engine, play Mali and Denier with Dangerous in the extra deck. That way, Fusion Destiny becomes a starter for your Despia engine, and it allows multiple bodies on board for Chimera to pop 2 cards instead of the 1 you typically get.
How do you feel about going back to Buster Blader using some of the support from the newer packs? You could make a more synchro focused Baronne deck or a much more super poly focused deck. Or maybe even a mixture of both?

Personally I would throw in nibiru and kaijus and super poly instead of the hand traps route and make it a going second deck. This deck is so versatile you can pretty much play it however you want.

Prefer Dramaturge instead of ad lib, ideally you need to run edge imp, Frightfur patchwork and poly for Chimera, it’s less bricky with the hex instead of DM and red eyes
Ad lib gets mirrorjade back tho, drama is just a veiler on sum of extra deck monster, also mirrorjade blows board ep, activating in mp so they have to diverge their plays to get around it

What's a good budget for Pots and Guardian?
Allure of darkness anyone? You draw the 2 cards and happen to banish tragedy and get a search. If not lubellion will recycle any monster sent by allure. Pot of prosperity halves damage opponent takes, requires banishing facedown 3-6 monsters from extra deck, and stops you from drawing the rest of the turn just to add 1 card to hand.
The only Situation Prosp conflicts with the Deck strategy, is that you cant use Chimera Effect after it in your turn, rest is free
