Sweet Jesus, Mother Mary, Mother of God and all the saints in Heaven can, will you guys ever catch a break!! Love your song Forever Days, your singing reminds me of Joe Strummed, one of my favourites. Your voice has that wonderful 1970’s angry punk hint to it that drew me in to loving and performing that style of music.
we are cursed 😂😂😂 at least it hopefully makes for fun viewing 😂😅 Thanks for enjoying the song, I love Joe strummer, one of the greatest to ever do it, so has probably been a big inspiration 😊
I noticed the meditative cruising edits with piano. These are really GREAT and serve as a good counterbalance to the Guy Ritchie high-stakes segments. You're onto something there. Keep up the great videos - you've been on a roll lately guys!
@TheNomadicCrobot From an older punk to one getting older, your music is certainly raw enough to tick all the boxes. I would definitely spill all my beer jumping around to it 😁🍻. Cheers.
"Forever Days"; so Chris, apart from his 5 minutes on the tiller and his cracking sense of humour, does contribute something useful to the channel. Nice one 👍 🎸 🎶
Since Chris is so bad at forgetting the key, why don’t you add an Apple AirTag keychain to your keys, so if you leave them behind; by accident of course lol, you get a notification that it was left behind, especially if you drop it it’ll lead you right to where the key is. It sound a lot cheaper $ easier than relying on Chris’s memory 😂 Love you guys, keep it up!! 🎉❤
Lovely watching you 2 cruising. Hopefully the lock won't be to long before it opens. I was well surprised by forever days, fantastic. Love to you both, Richard
Thanks Richard, I thought it might be a bit heavy for the channel but seeing that I wrote it while away I wanted to include it, Hope you have a great week
Hi You 2, Very entertaining vlog as always. love the song "forever days" should have called it forever forgetting the KEYS! 🤣😂🤣😂 Absolute Classic. we love you really, take care and Stay Safe. 🥰🥰xx
Godmanchester 1:34 - you moored against the entrance to the original lock! New one originally manual at the guillotine end…. Called it the "hangover cure” because after 308 winds to raise it, you’d be sober (briefly) ! 20:06 - my favourite mooring place: skinny-dipped in Dec when based in Buckden prior to lift-out… talk about Walnut Whips..
Love the song! You really should upload it to Spotify. Id listen to that on the way to work and on the way home! Long time viewer by the way. Absolutely love the channel. Look forward to your videos. Thanks guys!! 😁
Oh Chris I really enjoyed this you two are just so entertaining. And you defo both need to make a collection of songs you’re both very talented. Hope you get back home in time for Christmas hahaha. These things can only happen to you two. Big hugs 🤗 love yal millions xxx
Great Song Chris 👍🏼👏🏻nice to see you Guys moving. If you’re still at that lock more well away from it as it will be a pinch point if the water level rises before EA come out and remove the tree👍🏼

Thank you so much for tuning in again, it's been quite the adventure, It was a really strong current.Becca done so well controlling the boat. @9:09 Jeez Chris. It's dodgy enough jumping from the side of the boat whilst it's still in motion & not properly alongside. But jump of the front like this, get it wrong and fall into the path of your boat, you'll either be slowly and categorically crushed to death by 20 tons at 3mph, or trapped underneath the bow and drowned, or a bit of both! Either way, it'll certainly take some of the fun out of the day.
One day you'll go for a quiet restful cruise with great solar happy batteries. Working plumbing (all installed) . And you'll be wondering what the hell has happened! Oh and enjoying eating those turkey steaks. Wishing you well and fine weather.
Chris - terminology, you park a car but moor a boat also its a lock landing, not a landing strip!!! What ever happened to the calorifyer (not sure if spelling correct) that Bex put in? That would give you free hot water from the engine? Having said all that, your vlogs are great and tell Bex she has the patience of a saint!
I wonder if you tattooed the word keys to the back of Chris’s hand he’d remember the frigging key. I’m a bit worried Bex on a couple of shots Chris looked intelligent haha but the he tried to open the lock gate when the lock was full 😂😂. How you haven drowned him I will never understand ❤
Ok some safety tips. DO NOT stand right at the back of the boat inside the arc of the tiller. If the rudder hits an underwater obstruction you will be straight off. Don't travel with the canopy up it's an expensive mistake to make. Especially since Becs isn't getting the benefit of it anyway and it is just obscuring her vision. Man up Chris and dress for the weather.
Normally in a lock you are ok to only use the centre line, rather than the bow and stern mooring lines. Also means you only have to adjust a single line as the water.level in a lock changes. Conversly, never use the centre line as an additional mooring line.
@@TheNomadicCrobot Although the center line is obviously attached to the middle of the boat, most people then run.it among the roof with the end on the stern hatch so you can easily pick it up without having to climb all over the roof. Also made easier if you have 2 centre lines ... One for port and the other starboard. The loose end then runs back either side of the roof and doesn't get tangled with solar panels etc
Two things - why do locks sometimes get closed on rivers? Also, forever days is an incredible song - so catchy. Would you be able to sing it as an acoustic track with your normal voice rather than the performance kind of voice?
Its seems like its mainly due to maintenance, but this time its because we are blocked from passing, Thank you so much thats suck a lovely thing g to say, Thats a great idea
Blimey! You're having some bad luck with the weather/flooding & locks out of action, You only need to get boarded by pirates or strike an iceberg & you've got a full house 😂I hope your luck changes soon.🙂
Thor to the rescue driving in the mooring stakes. the turkey burgers didn't get a mention. do you have a split charge system for your leisure batteries

Yeah i done editing for him for about a year, thinking of possibly joining him again at some point, he's doing great..he's done such an amazing job at the whole youtube world
Oh sh*# it’s still there, not just is it there it’s huge and looks like it’s there forever, it looks like a forest has drifted down to the lock. Maybe you should get an electrician in to install better battery power as it looks like you might be there for some time. How disheartening is this. Oh guys I’m sorry. Not into punk but I must admit Chris you do have talent. Good luck to you both, I so hope they start work on this soon. Stay safe and see you soon. 🥰
Hi Pauline, yes we had heard about the tree weeks back but had tried avoid thinking about it too much, looks like a full EA job, but it should hopefully be made priority, Its just one of those things when cruising..you have to expect there to be closures this time of year, No I imagined it would be for a lot of people but seeing that I wrote it while away I thought id include it, I dont really write punk songs any more but with all the extra time decided to give a few a go again for giggles , Have a lovely week
So, The NarrowBoat Pirate had a problem with loose nuts on her boat and The Nomadic Crobot has a problem with a nut loose.......🤣 Like the track, you performing at Whitby at all?
Hi good video few little things don't travel with fenders down (your not a plastic boat) and never fenders in a lock very dangerous.love your playing with the ropes winding the rope around a bollard is as good as leaving it loose there is no real need to use ropes in a lock but that comes with a bit of experience but if. You really think you need them normally the centre rope around a bollard then given back to the captain to hold is more than sufficient in most locks. If I was in your position I would go and moor on the lock landing nice bollards no mud no one passing couldn't be safer then you would know as soon as the lock is cleared
im not really sure how too but would like to, iv been working on a punk album for giggles so maybe ill just put it up for free once its done, I really appreciate the support
My husband and I love your videos put PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't cruise with your pram cover up! You need to see everything happening around you and low bridges, low hanging branches can rip your pram cover off. I've seen it happen recently.

your not wrong, I was actually quite worried about letting her get to close...incase parts of it end up on the boat 😂😂
@ I can hear her “hmmm that bit will come in useful” 😂
It looks like part of it is wedged in there
yes it seams to to be wedged to the floor too
Hi there genuine question here I'm a cc er on KA
have you guys ever moored where you need to use a plank ?
I think you need to invest in some new batteries. Try and get a nice sponsor for some lithiums.❤
absolutely
I'm not sure a horn is necessary when you have an engine as loud as yours 😄
😂😂😂
Lock blocked 🚫
unfortunately 😅
So, The NarrowBoat Pirate had a problem with loose nuts on her boat and The Nomadic Crobot has a problem with a nut loose.......🤣
Like the track, you performing at Whitby at all?
😂😂😂 Thanks...no whats Whiby?? a boat fest??
@@TheNomadicCrobot Whitby Goth Weekend, a twice yearly Goth & Alternative festival at Whitby, North Yorkshire.
Oh woaw that sounds awesome
There are no electric locks on the canal system it's only on the rivers x
Aire & Calder canal
yes we thought there wouldn't be as many , maybe its more a river thing
@@nigelsykes9295did you get a map out to find one
@@TheNomadicCrobotyou were just round the corner from us could've helped you out if we'd known you were there that tree was there for quite a while
Hi good video few little things don't travel with fenders down (your not a plastic boat) and never fenders in a lock very dangerous.love your playing with the ropes winding the rope around a bollard is as good as leaving it loose there is no real need to use ropes in a lock but that comes with a bit of experience but if. You really think you need them normally the centre rope around a bollard then given back to the captain to hold is more than sufficient in most locks. If I was in your position I would go and moor on the lock landing nice bollards no mud no one passing couldn't be safer then you would know as soon as the lock is cleared
Xx
Chris talks "Too" much, no matter which end it comes from. LOL The word is extracted.
thats the one 😂😂😂
Get a center line much easier
Thanks ❤️
To be fair on you, you are trying to work the lock as well as reposition the camera all the time. I’d be totally confused. ❤
Thanks for noticing, its a hell of alot to take in especially when your trying to film it all at the same time
And vid
Thank you ❤️
you milked this till its dry lol
I think weve probably milked narrowboat life to the max with nearly any cruising 😂😂
Will you be releasing your punk rock anthem as a single?
im not really sure how too but would like to, iv been working on a punk album for giggles so maybe ill just put it up for free once its done, I really appreciate the support
Becks is looking super sexy at the helm...
she smashing it every time bless her
My husband and I love your videos put PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't cruise with your pram cover up! You need to see everything happening around you and low bridges, low hanging branches can rip your pram cover off. I've seen it happen recently.
No its probably a good idea to keep it down...were playing with fire 😂
@@TheNomadicCrobot to be fair, we've lost a flue, arial, plant pots, smashed cratch window and cover, perscription sunglasses, TWICE, and a washing line....
I imagine it's very easy done 😅🤣
