I am not religious but have encountered many Christians who would sarcastically say they would pray for me because I did not share their beliefs. I believe if most Christians followed the words of Jesus rather than what Paul taught, we would not have so many Christian hypocrites and they would be more peaceful. I love learning about the bible and the societies at the time the bible was written. It is quite fascinating. Thank you for your time.

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED; AND FROM WHAT AM I SAVED FROM ??? When one is confronted with the law of God, or the Ten Commandments, conviction of sin is the natural response. Who could claim they have never lied, envied, or disobeyed their parents? The Scriptures teach, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23 KJV) Once the heart is convicted of sin, the natural question is “What must I do to be saved?” Christian churches exist for the purpose of answering that all-important question. Sadly, there seems to be confusion among Bible teachers as to the correct answer. On any given Sunday morning one could walk into several different churches and hear several different explanations of how to be saved. Here are three of the most common: 1. “Repent or turn from your sin” 2. “Ask Jesus into your heart” 3. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved” One might argue that all three answers are basically the same. But are they? Are these all valid gospels for today? Does each of these messages have the power to save a lost person from the penalty of sin? Only the word of God can shed light on these questions, so let’s examine what the Scriptures say about each of these statements. “Turn from your sin” Our human nature likes to think that the answer to sin is simply to stop sinning. The assumption is that we must prove ourselves worthy of salvation before God will extend forgiveness. However, according to Scripture, it is impossible for an unsaved person to turn from his sin. Look what the Scriptures say of man’s original condition: “And you hath he quickened [made alive], who were dead in trespasses and sins…” (Ephesians 2:1 KJV) The unsaved condition of every man is dead in sin. And more than that, all unsaved men are “the servants of sin.” In and of ourselves, there is no hope of freedom from bondage to sin. (Romans 6:17 KJV). “So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.” (Romans 8:8 KJV). That is why God had to intervene for us: “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love for which he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ…” (Eph. 2:4-5) Only when a man is in Christ can he be free from the power of sin: “Knowing this, that our old man [our sin nature] is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.” (Romans 6:6 KJV) Prior to salvation, man is incapable of turning from sin. The victory over sin is a result of salvation, not the means to salvation. Therefore, the exhortation to “turn from your sin” is not only a false gospel, it is an impossibility for an unsaved man. “Ask Jesus into your heart” This “gospel” cannot be found anywhere in the Bible. It is derived from a misunderstanding of Revelation 3:20: “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Two things must be understood about this passage of Scripture. First, Revelation is a book of future events foretold by the Old Testament prophets and Jesus Christ in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Second, the context of Revelation 3 is the Second coming of Christ to the nation Israel. At that time, those in the nation that recognize him as their messiah and king will sit with him in his kingdom and sup with him. He explains this in verse 21 when he says, “…To him that overcometh [the Great Tribulation] will I grant to sit with me in my throne…” Revelation 3:20 has nothing to do with us who live in this Age of Grace. Further, it is not teaching us, or anyone, to “ask Jesus into your heart” to be saved. This idea is a false gospel not found anywhere in the Bible. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved The original question “… what must I do to be saved?” was asked by a jailor to the Apostle Paul as recorded in Acts 16:30. Paul’s reply was simple: ” … Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, …” (Acts 16:31 KJV) What exactly is it that one must believe about Jesus Christ? The Apostle Paul explains: “I declare unto you the gospel … how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” (1 Cor 15:1-4) Clearly, the only message for today that has power to save a sinner from the penalty of sin and the wrath of God is the message preached by the Apostle Paul, as the Scripture verifies: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;” (Romans 1:16 KJV) Note that the gospel of Christ does not say to “endure,” “confess,” “repent,” “ask,” or “beg.” The salvation of God through Christ Jesus is offered to “all them that believe” (Romans 3:22). “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus…that he [God] might be just and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus…” (Romans 3: 24,26) - BELIEVE - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: (1 Corinthians 15.1-5)

Paul admitted to lying in Romans 3 v 7. He was boastful and in Genesis 49: 27 a wolf from Benjamin is foretold. Paul taught contrary to Jesus and he referred to it as his gospel. He also ordered a man to be taken to satan. I don't believe Yeshua ie Jesus would ever have done that.

You misunderstand Romans 3: 7 . Paul is saying if his lie makes God look good then why would he still be punished. Because God is Holy and doesn't need us to lie for him. I caution you to not be deceived by the people who have been sent to deceive Christians and I hear it's Paul that's the target and Jesus is also going to be falsely discredited . I took your good advice and tallied the scriptural references in a Baptist daily reader while sitting through a long sermon yesterday. Out of 88 total quotations, 23 were from Paul's epistles vs. 9 quotes from Jesus, and of those 9, 6 were little more than pithy aphorisms. Of the last 3, the commentary glossed over the plain meaning for 2, leaving 1 entry out of 88 which dealt with Christ's message honestly.

      Your point?
I had the meeting place for Paul pointed out years ago as another evidence of the broadening of the gospel OUTside of Israel to which it was confined by Jesus' clear instructions. Jesus' gospel was meant for Israel (under the Law) but Paul's gospel of Grace knew no such boundaries and brought huge benefits to Western society.
AND look at the huge differences in the subsequent years of living according to the Islam (suppression of women, retarded development of higher education, and perpetual warfare BETWEEN BROTHERS. vs. Pauline Christianity where the greatest U.S. war was to free the slaves.
Middle eastern nations are mostly Muslim and wreathy but their wealth is mostly developed by others accessing their natural resource, oil, in contrast to Western societies with their (dangerous) individual freedoms that together shaped countries into upright, moral nations.

Jesus came preaching that the Kingdom of God had come. See Mark 1 14 …. After the rejection and crucifixion of Jesus, the ‘Kingdom of God’ was postponed at least 2000 years. Paul COULD NOT preach that the kingdom had come, when it hadn’t.
Paul preached that redemption was through the sacrifice of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2 2 Jesus COULD NOT preach this gospel as he has not yet been sacrificed and the access to grace through His blood had not yet happened.

Blasphemy of the holy spirit cannot be forgiven..Saul went beyond that and went as far as taking lives to 'Snuff out" God's true believer's and he did an outstanding job. Also he claimed Christ appeared to him but that would mean Jesus lied about his return by visiting Saul, he said when he returns it will be in glory and to set up his kingdom at judgement day so there again a puzzle to me that people refer to saul as an apsotle and the true apostles accepted him, they did not. thats why he left in a huff and wrote sarcastic letter's to his flock mocking the true apostiles, called them the "super" apostles..when he attained roman citizenship he would have had to renounce his hebrew ways and adopt the roman law. saul was a crafty person. a pharisee taught by a legendary teacher and he would have same basic beliefs that Jesus had so he was well wersed in the resurrection that pharisee's believed in, and studied the teaching that true christians knew, know thy enemy, saul scattered them widely apart and when he saw the light, he took over the movement and heade3d down the road as a false prophet and the teacher of a false covenant that prodestants believe today. all gone astray. the real church is out among the people, no tall steeple's...still in hiding..in plain sight..saul was the 1st pope not Peter.

Amen! Do we “make too much of Paul?”
      by Shawn Brasseaux
Once, while talking to a discouraged Christian minister, I told him about Paul’s apostleship and how the Pauline epistles contained good words of encouragement for him to read and cheer up. His reply was, “Yeah, but there is more to the Bible than just Paul!” I responded, “Absolutely, but the Pauline epistles are God’s Word to you as a Gentile living in the Dispensation of the Grace of God.” The dear man had such a daze on his look; he had never heard this plain and yet profound truth of the Bible! If you want to know what God has to say to you, you must read the Pauline epistles, Romans through Philemon. Everything else in the Bible is God’s Word to Israel, and you are not Israel!
You are forced to separate Paul from the rest of the Bible. Even though your church and pastor may not do this, you have a choice-obey God, or obey mankind. But what makes Paul so unique? In the Four Gospels, we have the Lord Jesus Christ giving His twelve apostles the clear commandment (Matthew 10:5,6): “[5] Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not. [6] But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” And Jesus continued in verse 40, “He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.”
The Lord Jesus Christ sent Peter and the eleven to minister to the nation Israel (unfortunately, most church members have never been taught that simple fact). Jesus told them that if no one wanted to receive them, that person was simply rejecting Him (Jesus Christ), and thereby rejecting God the Father who sent Him. The question is: “Whom did Jesus Christ send to us?” It was certainly not Peter and the eleven because they had a ministry amongst the Jews, the nation Israel. Galatians 2:9 says that Peter, James, and John are Israel’s apostles (cf. Matthew 19:27,28).
Go with me to Romans 11:13, where the Apostle Paul writes: “For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office.” Who is God’s apostle of the Gentiles? PAUL! The ascended Lord Jesus Christ, post-resurrection, selected Paul to be the apostle of the Gentiles.
In Acts 9:15, the Lord Jesus told Ananias: “But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he [Saul of Tarsus, Paul the Apostle] is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: for I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.”
Paul wrote in Romans 15:16: “That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.” And Galatians 1:16: “To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:” Finally, 2 Timothy 1:11: “Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.”
The Apostle Paul is our apostle; he is the one God sent to us. Paul is God’s spokesman to us today. Accordingly, if we ignore Paul-like most professing Christians do today-we are actually ignoring God and His Word to us Gentiles in this dispensation, the Dispensation of Grace!
Now, look at 2 Peter 3:15-16, one of the last statements the Apostle Peter wrote: “[15] And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; [16] As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.”
Did you notice what Peter wrote? He emphasized Paul’s epistles! Here is Peter, one of the chief apostles of Israel, encouraging you to read Paul’s epistles. Will people ever say “Peter made too much of Paul?” No, never. In that case, they have no right to say that you “make too much of Paul,” either. These are simply false accusations concocted by our critics, caught up in legalism and denominationalism, who hope to discredit our position so they can hold to their church tradition.
We are not making Paul to be a god; Paul is not God, but God has sent him to us so we had better listen to the message Paul was given by God. We recognize the Pauline epistles as God’s Word to us. We study all 66 books of the Bible, but the non-Pauline books are for basic learning, and are not written to us or about us. The non-Pauline epistles in the Bible cannot always apply to us. Paul was a man just like us. However, he did not write his own thoughts or opinions. As the Spirit of God moved him, he penned the doctrines of grace written to the Church the Body of Christ. He is the only Bible author addressing non-Israelites who are living outside of God’s purpose and program for Israel (Romans 16:25,26; Ephesians 3:1-9). God’s current dealings with man are only found in Paul’s epistles. We are emphasizing the office of the apostle of the Gentiles, not the man Paul. Just like the Jews depended on Moses to give them God’s revelations, so we depend on the Pauline epistles to receive God’s revelations to us.
In reality, mid-Acts (Pauline) dispensationalists are not “making too much of Paul”-God the Holy Spirit in the Bible makes “too much” of Paul. So much so that nearly half of the New Testament is attributed to Paul! The Apostle Peter wrote two books, the Apostle John wrote five books; Luke wrote two books, and James, Matthew, Mark and Jude each wrote one book. The Apostle Paul wrote 13 Bible books, Romans through Philemon (contrary to what some suppose, I do not believe Paul wrote the book of Hebrews). Paul’s epistles alone contain half (13/27) of the “New Testament” and one-fifth (13/66) of the entire Bible! Are you going to say that “God made too much of Paul in His Word?” I think not, friend.
Finally, we see in 1 Corinthians 3:9-12 that Paul is the “wise masterbuilder” that laid the foundation and that foundation is Jesus Christ crucified, buried, and risen again. This is Paul’s Gospel, the Gospel of the Grace of God (see Acts 20:24). Peter, James, and John were not the wise masterbuilders! They had no ministry to us Gentiles and the Church the Body of Christ (cf. Galatians 2:9).
Again, we emphasize Paul, not the man, but the doctrine revealed exclusively to him, the gospel given exclusively to him, and the ministry entrusted exclusively to him. Contrary to the teachings of traditional Bible interpretation, we recognize the unique ministry that the ascended Lord Jesus Christ gave to Paul. The Lord specifically revealed the “revelation of the mystery” exclusively to Paul (Romans 16:25,26; Ephesians 3:2). God’s plan for salvation today is only found in Paul’s epistles. After all, the Bible says, “God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my [PAUL’S] gospel” (Romans 2:16; cf. Romans 16:25; 2 Timothy 2:8).
If you do not have your faith resting in a firm understanding of Paul’s Gospel, the Gospel of the Grace of God, it is the plain and simple truth that you are on your way to hell. Someone who loves you enough needs to tell you that before it is too late. You need to trust in Christ Jesus alone as your personal Saviour today. Jesus loved you and died for your sins, He was buried, and He was raised again for your justification (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Trust in Jesus Christ alone, and God will save you forever.
Paul is your apostle and my apostle, and we are submitting to God’s design when we spend most of our Bible study in Paul’s epistles. END OF STORY!
For those who think that we Pauline (Mid-Acts) dispensationalists “make too much of Paul,” perhaps they will think differently in light of our closing remarks:
Can you completely explain God’s plan of salvation (the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ as sufficient payment for sins), without making even a single reference to any of the verses found between the books of Romans through Philemon? (You cannot, for you need Paul’s epistles to explain the Gospel of the Grace of God-the gospel for this dispensation (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)-is only found in Paul’s epistles!)
Without using Romans through Philemon, can you sufficiently explain the Church the Body of Christ and the rapture? How are we to live as believers in Christ in this dispensation? Are we under law or grace? What is the purpose and destiny of the Church the Body of Christ? You cannot answer these questions outside of Paul’s epistles.
Could you tell me about church order (qualities of bishops, deacons, et cetera) without using the books of 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus?
Can you explain where is the nation Israel today? Are we spiritual Israel? Will God return to dealing with Israel in the future? You can only answer these questions using Paul’s epistles.
Of course not. Without Paul’s epistles, you could not do any of the above. I guess you “make too much of Paul” too!

Peter found Paul "hard to understand". Paul said in 2 Timothy 1:15, "You know that everyone in the Province of Asia has deserted me". "Asia' refers to Asia Minor, the area where Paul spent years in his ministry. They knew Paul personally, yet "everyone" rejected him. Did the Holy Spirit guide Paul to waste years on the unworthy people of Asia? Or did the Holy Spirit guide the people away from the false Apostle? "I know that you cannot tolerate those who are evil, and you have tested and exposed as liars those who falsely claim to be apostles." Revelation 2:2

Look here at what the Messiah, teacher of the covenant says and tell me all of you aren't denying everything he taught?
    Matthew 5
17 “DON'T MISUNDERSTAND why I have come. I DID NOT COME TO ABOLISH THE LAW of Moses(DEUTERONOMY) OR THE writings of the PROPHETS. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. (SEE EZEKIEL 18) 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law (ISAIAH 56)will disappear until its purpose is achieved. 19 So if you ignore the least commandment and teach others to do the same, you will be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven. But anyone who obeys God’s laws and teaches them will be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
29 So if your eye even your good eye causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your hand-even your stronger hand (deuteronomy 6)causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
    MATTHEW 7
    The Narrow Gate
13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.
    The Tree and Its Fruit
15 “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. 16 You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree can’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree can’t produce good fruit. 19 So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. 20 Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.
    True Disciples
21 “Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. 22 On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ 23 But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’(deuteronomy 5 verse 6 to 21)
    Building on a Solid Foundation
24 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. 26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”
Matthew 18 (notice the consequences when you try lead one of us the lost sheep astray!)
6 But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.
7 “What sorrow awaits the world, because it tempts people to sin. Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting. 8 So if your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one hand or one foot than to be thrown into eternal fire with both of your hands and feet. 9 And if your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It’s better to enter eternal life with only one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fire of hell.
SEE HOW TO INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE!😆😉
    MATTHEW 19
16 Someone came to Jesus with this question: “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?”
17 “Why ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. But to answer your question-if you want to receive eternal life, keep the commandments.”
18 “Which ones?” the man asked.
And Jesus replied: “‘You must not murder. You must not commit adultery. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. 19 Honor your father and mother. Love your neighbor as yourself.
20 “I’ve obeyed all these commandments,” the young man replied. “What else must I do?”
21 Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
22 But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, for he had many possessions. (DO NOT LET THE GOODIES OF THE WORLD AND THE LUSTS IT IS THROWING AT YOU DRAG YOU BACK IN, RESIST THE DEVIL BY OBEYING THE COMMANDMENTS AND HE MUST FLEE BECAUSE YOU ARE THE CHOSEN THEN, IT IS UP TO EACH TO CLEANSE THEMSELVES BY OBEDIENCE THEREBY REMOVING THE LOG JAM FROM YOUR EYES, THE LOG JAM CAN ONLY BE FIXED BY OBEYING THE COMMANDMENTS, THAT IS HOW WE EACH FULFILL THE LAW, WE OBEY IT AND SIN AND SATAN ARE THEN DEFEATED)

Like most contemporary theologians of all stripes, this man doesn't get it. Gospel is a very broad term. In the NT writings, the preaching/teaching changes from the gospel of the Kingdom, ) with Jesus as the Messiah but after the continued rejection of that gospel, God arrested Saul, blinded him and then enlightened him to abandon his Pharisaical pursuits in favor of the Gospel of Grace, My Gospel, (Acts 9).
All this came to a head in Luke's record called acts. Chapter 15 records the clash between the Judaizers and Paul and Silas. YES Paul and Jesus don't preach the same gospel because one has superseded the other. Remember Jesus is now dead. Jesus offered his gospel (JUST TO ISRAEL) but was crucified for his trouble and even when the loving patience of God extended the call to Israel in chaps 1-8 of Acts, the Jews continued their rejection of what He offered (gospel of the Kingdom) ISRAEL so God turned to the World and engaged Paul to take the Gospel of Grace everywhere to everyone, not just Jews or just Gentiles as Peter himself confessed in Acts 15:1-11 that "we must be saved as they are", NOT they must be saved according to Judaism as were we. People who try to repeat Pentecost or critique Paul according to Jesus are seriously mistaken. Jesus walked on water, healed the sick and even raised the dead. Why not take a break from picking on Paul, to ask yourself why is that such supernatural acts are not now part of ongoing church activities? And where to you display your cleansed skin since the priesthood no longer functions.
I just read of a relatively young couple that nearly lost faith in or even the reality of God because they attended a Pentecostal church complete with the tongue-speaking and miracle services, but he died from cancer despite strong prayers to God on his behalf. Jesus had promised that whatever you ask for pray in My name you will receive but Paul does not make that promise in his epistles because the evidences submitted to convince Israel of Jesus' genuineness and even the plan of salvation (the gospel) have been changed (starting with the ripping of the temple vail right through to the ejection of Jews from their city by Rome and temple destruction that blocked the sacerdotal system operations), not by Paul but by Christ from heaven; please read the account in mid acts, for heaven sakes. If you don't see it right away, pray for H. Spirit illumination and STUDY as Paul recommends in Timothy 2:15.
Write me if you think I'm mistaken.

Charles, you seem to be pulling out a verse and trying to make it say what it definitely does not say. Jesus did not say "I have the sayings of eternal life" therefore do not listen to anyone else, and neither did he say that you do not NEED anyone else. This is not a question of who quotes who the most. Anyone can quote - even Satan as we can clearly see in scripture. If you do not recognize the Spirit behind Paul's writings then you have been blinded. You might be able to quote Jesus, but without the Spirit you have nothing.

NOTHING in scripture suggests that Jesus told his 12 disciples EVERYTING they needed to know. YOU are therefore drawing a conclusion that is NOT found in scripture.. simply to satisfy your beliefs, and with THAT in mind I DON'T Think I will love your "new video". If you had strong arguments for what you are proclaiming then perhaps I would do so, but your arguments are cheap and shallow.
Being a Christian has nothing to do with how much you quote Jesus. It has to do with whether or not you LIVE according to what Jesus said. Paul layed down his life for the sake of the Gospel. His emphasis was on LIVING according to the "sayings of eternal Life" rather than just quoting them. Quoting is what you seem to think is important. However, a "Christian" is.. neither someone who quotes Jesus nor who uses his name in order to support his fancy "theological" ideas. So WAKE UP MAN!

If Paul was taught his gospel by Jesus why didn't he repeat it to his listeners? Why does Paul never quote Jesus - why didn't he write The Gospel according to Jesus? Why does he never quote the Sermon on the Mount? Or add any details about Jesus' earthly life? Why does he seem to know nothing of the parables or miracles? Why is the gospel of Paul based on faith when the teachings of Jesus are based on works (such as Matt. 25)? Jesus warned that false prophets would arrive soon after his death ("where the corpse is, vultures will gather"), could Paul, the murderer, be one of those vultures?

"His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction." 2 Peter 3:16
There is a reason why his letters are in the Sacred Scriptures, and it certainly is not because they contradict Our Lord's teaching. Christ said to His apostles "He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.” (Luke 10;16)
St. Paul was sent directly by the 12 apostles who more than certainly taught and believed what he taught and believed, for St. Peter read his letters, heard his testimony, and even goes so far as to compare his letters to scriptures (2 Peter 3:16).
St. Paul only contradicts Our Lord if you "twist the his words to your own destruction"; for,
St. Paul taught Christ and him crucified; and if you think that he taught salvation by Faith Alone (which is only mentioned once in the entire Bible, and that is when it is explicitly denied by St. James 2:24) then you should read some good Catholic Answers.

Maybe because he rejected the authority of Peter and James - Galatians 2 11 "But when Cephas (Peter) came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face because...(he) acted hypocritically... even Barnabas was carried away." Those who knew him personally - his congregations and his partner - rejected him. When he went to Jerusalem, James sent him to the Temple as a test...he failed, and got arrested. (The other Apostles went to the Temple all the time, without trouble, Paul got in trouble because he taught something different and Jame's 'Temple Test' proved it.) None of the Apostles visited him in jail. His account of his conversion in Galatians is contradicted by the account in Acts. He (almost) never quotes Jesus directly -would you? If Jesus personally taught the Gospel -wouldn't you write it down and carefully quote it word for word? Of course you would! Paul just offers his own impressions mixed with opinions - no parables, no sermon on the mount, no miracles, no personal details - mostly Paul's claiming he's special, he knows secret things. Very good video and to the point. Paul teaches a gospel that is opposite to Jesus and the Apostles. Paul was not one of the twelve apostles ( Judas replaced by Matthias) and never saw or spoke to Jesus when he was on Earth.
Martin Luther and his fellow reformers actually rejected Paul’s message of “grace” by the late 1530’s. The Lutheran church taught “ double justification “ from the 1540’s to 1580. Salvation by first accepting Jesus and it also depended on “works of charity” . Luther and his fellow reformers wrote about this, but we never hear Lutheran ministers bring it up! After 1580....the cheap grace leaders overturned this doctrine and the church tried to erase it from history.

Paul preached that redemption was through the sacrifice of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2 2 Jesus COULD NOT preach this gospel as he has not yet been sacrificed and the access to grace through His blood had not yet happened.

Paul sure does not. Paul and Jesus teaching was the same in essence. In regards to Paul's apostleship, Luke (not Paul) records that the prophet Ananias was told concerning Paul, "He is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name's sake" (Acts 9:15-16). Thus we find that Paul was selected by Jesus and sent on a mission to the Gentiles. That, after all, is the definition of an apostle -- one who is sent. Paul later confirmed that this was the duty given to him by Jesus, "Depart, for I will send you far from here to the Gentiles" (Acts 22:21).
This mission was confirmed by the other apostles. "But on the contrary, when they saw that the gospel for the uncircumcised had been committed to me, as the gospel for the circumcised was to Peter (for He who worked effectively in Peter for the apostleship to the circumcised also worked effectively in me toward the Gentiles), and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that had been given to me, they gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised" (Galatians 2:7-9).
Peter wrote, confirming that Paul was an inspired writer for God when he said, "and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation--as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures" (II Peter 3:15-16). Notice that Peter called Paul's writings Scriptures.
In stating this, Peter is saying that Paul wasn't writing his own opinions but recording the words of the Lord. "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual" (I Corinthians 2:12-13). You are sitting in judgment on God and His word. "But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy" (James 4:11-12). Fortunately for us, you are not that one Lawgiver.
Paul, the preaching of the cross was salvation (1 Corinthians 1.18, 23, 15.1-4) and was glorious (1 Timothy 1.11). Paul’s gospel created so much friction that the apostles in Jerusalem called a special council around 51 A.D. to consider it. We must understand Paul was probably saved around 34-37 A.D. So a range of time of 14-17 years had passed before the Council at Jerusalem met. That was a long time. At the Council, after considerable argument, Peter made an astonishing (from a Jewish perspective) statement.
Prior to Peter’s statement, the message of the Twelve was that Gentiles could be saved only the way Jews were saved. But after great argument, Peter, under the power of the Holy Spirit, officially recognized (in light of Paul’s revelations and ministry)
After Peter made this declaration, Paul wrote the Galatians that any who proclaimed a gospel different from his was to be accursed (Galatians 1.8-9). Paul could not have written this prior to the Council of Jerusalem and to Peter’s statement, The Twelve legitimately preached the gospel Christ had revealed to them in His earthly ministry. During this same period Paul preached the gospel revealed to him after Christ fulfilled the law of Moses. Both were valid gospel messages; both had been commanded by the Lord. However, only Paul’s gospel of grace was meant for the newly established churches from the gentiles and formally supplanted by Paul’s gospel. Paul’s gospel of grace focused upon the work of Christ, rather than upon the identity of Christ.

Romans 2:14 for when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do the things in the law, these, although not having the law, are a law to themselves,
Romans 2:21 You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who preach that a man should not steal, do you steal? 22 You who say, “Do not commit adultery,” do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who make your boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law? 24 For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,”

Christians and denominations now try to evangelize by quoting Paul's words instead of the Gospel and words of Jesus. You'll hear "Salvation is by grace" instead of "I am the truth, the way, and the life."

      vs

I'll put out some more on Paul soon. Meantime...

Did Jesus and Paul preach the same gospel? Of course they didn’t - they couldn’t !!
