  • Dr. Brian Nosek, Co-founder and Executive Director of the Center for Open Science, discusses the future of our scientific discipline. Improvements in the openness, rigor, and reproducibility of psychological science requires substantial changes in the culture of how we conduct and report science, yet current dysfunctional incentives prioritize publication over accuracy and privacy over transparency. Successful culture change will require coordinated policy, incentive, and normative changes to improve research credibility and accelerate progress. This webinar is part of an APA series called “Essential Science Conversations,” where panelists and audience members can engage in open dialogues about emerging topics in psychological science.
