It is quite a learning curve. I had a 707 in the 90s and it was so easy to program. This was definitely a lot harder. Behringer has brought out some new "vintage" style drum machines. I'm looking at trying one of those out too.
That is freakin’ weird! I made a retro 80’s new wave type track awhile back to see if I could do it but haven’t yet uploaded it but think I will soon now. Can’t wait to hear it!
Which verse did you record your style? Intro, Verse A, B or C or Ending? If you recorded it until Intro, it will play through once and then switch to Verse A. I have more extensive videos on using this machine. Here's the link to the playlist:ruclips.net/p/PLlvhewgIc9pARlbCzBtScCMbcbGgXBqyi&si=NlJw45G0XsKG2y4M
@@MikeFoerster I'll check out your tutorial. I was hoping for some more jazzy sounds as standard but I am in a minority so programming is probably the way for me to go. Have you looked at the 'Beat Buddy' as an alternative?
@@brianmason9803 I generally play the drums myself. This was a friend's and I think he had issues trying to figure it out too. My experience with drum machines is limited. I did however start on a DR-707 and I kick myself for selling it!
Somebody should warn you that a special cord's required if you want to turn the beats on and off with a foot switch, which of course you will, in live applications. I'm an hour from the store where I bought it, so I'm looking at a 2-hr. round trip if I want to use this thing on my gig this weekend. ..Juts sayin'
@@MikeFoerster I found the answer...False alarm! I was making it harder that it is! Thanks for responding, though. No special cord required - just a standard little Boss On/Off pedal.
I've added a tutorial on how to program this little guy! ruclips.net/video/dSWjhen5EZ8/видео.html

@@billsexton8073 A lot of people were complaining about it. I'll find the newer one that I did.

@@MikeFoerster well, i will have to treat mine like a set of creative challenges
Thanks for the answer. We’re good.

Thank you so much.
Thank you so much my friend, that was helpful
I'm going to do a tutorial on the Dr. Rhythm in about two weeks. I've been asked a lot of questions about this thing since the first video.
Thanks cool video
I must be missing something. I’ve created a style and step recorded it. When I play it back it plays then goes thru the measures 1-4 silently.

Funk Rock = Naked In The Rain.
cool video, keep it up
All of the RUclips clips show this as being a boom-bass with offbeat rim-shot device. Can it do ordinary drumming for example 60's songs, jazz song?
You can program it to do whatever you want. I've started a tutorial on it at the following URL: ruclips.net/video/Av6ruRY6PvY/видео.html

I have a work around for that. I'm making a follow up video for this drum machine right now and I'm going to show you how to do this.

Glad you found an answer, I have made a follow up video for the DR-3. It'll be released on Thursday of this week.

Can this be connected to your amp?
Sure, it has 1/4" outputs on it
I Love Recording thanks mate 👍
TERRIBLE... JUST ABOUT THE WORST TUTORIAL ON RUclips
Wow. Sorry that it made you write in all caps. I've done newer tutorials on this drum machine. Look through my videos.
