Three days ago I discovered these videos on RUclips; I'm moved to tears to see how much Dad cares and loves BiBi and BiBi loves Dad. You can see it and I can feel it very well. I am quite sure: no mother monkey could give BiBi more love than Dad does. Of course it would be better if BiBi could live in a species-appropriate manner, but the circumstances didn't allow it. So he can be happy to grow up as a “beloved child” with people.
I'm sure BiBi thinks he's a humane person like his family and I'm happy for him and for his dad and his family. It's so cute when Bibi talks to Dad excitedly.
I think the whole thing started as a documented "normal" rescue operation for an abandoned baby monkey, but then turned into a success story.
Of course I know that the scenes are somehow staged, but I'm sure Bibi and Dad's mutual feelings are real. Hopefully everything goes well when Bibi grows up and becomes sexually mature. I love Bibi and his dad very much and wish both of them and their family all the best and, above all, health and happiness.
