the time where skin diving was pure adventure .... today, it is an industry where conformity have made its place and the adventurous spirit faded a bit. excellent video.
We still free dive with spearguns down here in Fl and get big ones still. Always a great video. I’ve never seen a bad video yet from y’all. Love the stuff y’all produce
Alec, I always wondered why Courtney Brown was replaced by Ricou Browning in the later season. Did Courtney get the ax? Browning certainly went on to bigger things and stayed busy, but Courtney Brown pretty much disappeared.
I was curious what equipment they used in Operation Highjump when they were diving in the Antarctic? This was 1946 to 1947, scuba diving in sub freezing temperatures.. YT channel PeriscopeFilm released a video about the operation where they show the divers
My good friend Wikipedia had the answer: On January 1, 1947, Lieutenant Commander Thompson and Chief Petty Officer Dixon utilized "Jack Browne" masks and DESCO oxygen rebreathers to log the first dive by Americans under the Antarctic.
What do you know aboot (Canadian, eh?) The Ron Ely and Kimber Sissons Sea Hunt series from 1987? I do not seem to find much at all about it. It seems to be lost forever. I am curious about it, although I will always bend my knee and bow upon the Altar of Bridges.
Your asking about the 1987 remake. Guess what? I cover that in my video S09E11 "1961 The Aquanauts", they are in the latter half. Hope its educational. A
I love these videos. Alec is a treasure.
Thank you L.V.

Dive safe
Thanks, will do!
I miss Skin Diver magazine, the first magazine I ever subscribed too(before I became a diver). From the 80's until the end of the line. Good times!
Right on Mark. Looking at the pages make me wonder how any of us survived.

excellent video.

I agree Jacques but you don’t need to conform. You can still be adventurous on your own terms. The bigger issue where I live is access

No controversy I know of, just changed due to other projects.

I'd like to see more of the advertisements in these issues.
I did a Vintage Scuba on ads a while back. Search my playlist to find it.
