…if it makes you feel any better, Chyler Leigh wanted to leave. They didn’t just write her off to be vindictive or dramatic. I think she may have even been pregnant at the time which is why they shot her as they did.

It happened a lot of times, if an episode is too upsetting or too crazy. Nothing to worry about (and it happened a long time ago, when he filmed this episode anyway :)). After some episodes he just needs time to let it sink. Very understandable (I'm the same).
