    Hi Andy ! Thanks for all your videos ! how would you make an almost flat circular slope on a panel that brings water into a centered hole? a slope machined in the thickness of the top to make an almost flat washbasin? This would make a very clean washbasin for a minimalist seamless design ! Hope you understand what I mean. Bye !

    • @AndyGraves
      @AndyGraves  3 года назад +1

      You're welcome, glad they help. I would thermoform it to that shape. Machining it would make it pretty thin at the drain.

    • @AndyGraves

      The drain can be unscrewed from the bottom.
      As far as cleaning it, your guess is as good as mine. Seems like it would be difficult.

      Thank u! I might just stick to the corian premade sinks. 8254 has a similar ramp look. Not as sleek but with a drain hole.

    How would you make a kitchen countertop which is supposed to be 20mm thick in the front out of 12mm corian? Would you make 45degrees joint in the front of it or glue two 12mm pieces together and use router to plan it to 20mm?

    • @AndyGraves
      @AndyGraves  2 года назад +1

      I have videos on edge fabrication. It would depend on the color and pattern. Brined material would be best to miter the edge. Solid colors could use a drop edge. Particulate colors could use stacked edge.

    Does the water drain slowly since there is no overflow hole?

    • @AndyGraves
      @AndyGraves  Год назад

      No. Why would it drain slow without an overflow?

    • @miamia7198
      @miamia7198 Год назад

      @@AndyGraves …because an overflow hole makes the water drain faster. Kind of like 2.5 gallon drinking water. You have to puncture the top for the water to flow/dispense faster. . I used to have a vessel sink without an overflow hole and it drained so slowly. To fix this issue, I had to do something similar like this video. ruclips.net/video/EpH4fX32ams/видео.htmlsi=1oGWcVpvhkxY7upn

    • @AndyGraves

      Got it. This doesn't happen but it also has a large trough under the sink when the water gathers and then drains.

    How does one fill such a sink? IE plug it?

    • @AndyGraves
      @AndyGraves  Год назад

      Hello, these are typically used in commercial applications. Commercial vanity sinks don't have stoppers so that you can fill up the sink. However, we have used these things in residential applications and you just don't have the ability to stop the drain.

      @@AndyGraves Wow thank you for the quick reply! Love your video. Wishing you all the best.
      I ended up "modeling" mine with 3 inches in the back and 2 inches in the front. The slope might be too shallow though, so I might switch to 1.5 in the front.

    • @AndyGraves
      @AndyGraves  2 года назад +1

      @@HannahLau7 Now that you mention it, I think it was 1.5" because the strip in the front is about an inch.

      @HannahLau7 2 года назад

      @@AndyGraves awesome!! I’m going to go with 1.5” then. I like your sink cuz it has that front edge. All other ramp sinks have no edge and immediately start sloping but I’m not a fan of that look. I’ve been using pictures of your sink as reference to show everyone haha.

    When you designed this sink… did you have it specially made at a homedepot or how did you fabricate the solid piece of corona? Like how did you create the 2 inch drop into the seamless drain slit? This is really cool

    • @AndyGraves

      We made the entire sink and then glued it to the bottom of the Corian material.
      I have another video on the ramp sink that shows the bottom drain section.
