I'm from that older generation that likes, prefers real instrumentation in music, but this does sounds pretty damn good to me. It doesn't happen real often with me that I actually like a song with pure electronic music, but this one made an impact. Great job, again, Mr Ryan and Mr George! The two of you keep me coming back to listen to new things, as well as old favorites. Free Thinkers!
I literally just heard this song for the first time right before I went to work earlier and listened to it on the commute home. also heard "Grab the Wheel" for the first time by Timbaland & 6lack. Funny y'all put a reaction vid up the same day lol. Much love to y'all, keep it up!
I guess I'm late to the party because y'all know I'm all about some new R&B and I didn't see this until this morning. But DAMN!!!!! My hips doing things this morning to this beat I ain't go no control over!!! My hips don't lie baby!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 playlist for me!!! 😍❤️ all the new music y'all introduce. FREETHINKERS unite
First thing first 6lack is underrated. Second y’all should listen to his album y’all would enjoy it so much. I recommend if you guys do another reaction to him do Never know. He can actually spit as well. As usual another great vid 👍🏽 keep
Chris Taylor, Free, Ex Calling, Gettin’ Old, Loving U, One Way ft. T-Pain all should come before Never Know. They already did prblms but that also comes in before as well.
Jaidyn Moustakis yeah I seen the other vid it was just what I thought they should check out next imo. Tbh doesn’t matter to me as long as they do more of him I’m Gucci lol
Chris Taylor tru true, 6lack is just an incredible artist, I wasn’t trying to bash your comment, I was also just stating what I’d like to see as well, sorry if it came across that way
YES!!!!!!! Thank you!!!! That’s going on my “Lost In Vegas” playlist. I’ll be listening to that and Penthouse on repeat. I’ll be gettin’ DOWN!! Keep ‘em coming! I’m loving this!
This is making my playlist as well! Watching two fellow music fanatics give first listens to many classic metal songs of my teenage years is what got me hooked on this channel last year, but now discovering new music that I haven't heard from two top notch critics has made this my favorite channel on RUclips. Here's some picks from my playlist, to maybe yours: Rolling Stones - Sympathy for the Devil (1968) (Rock) Rolling Stones - Tumbling Dice (1972) (Rock) Bob Marley - Burnin' and Lootin' (1973) (Reggae) Dead Kennedys - California Uber Alles (1980) (Punk) Bob Dylan - Tangled Up In Blue (1975) (Folk Rock) White Stripes - Dead Leaves And The Dirty Ground (2001) (Alt Blues Rock) David Bowie - Moonage Daydream (1972) (Rock) Led Zeppelin - No Quarter (1973) (Rock) Neil Young - Old Man (1972) (Folk Rock) Nirvana - Lounge Act (1991) (Alt Rock) Thin Lizzy - Vagabond of the Western World (1973) (Rock) Jimi Hendrix - Straight Ahead (1971) (Rock) Metallica - Fade to Black (1984) (Metal) Grand Funk Railroad - Inside Looking Out (1969) (Rock) King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Loyalty (2017) (Electro Psych Rock?) Muddy Waters - I Can't Be Satisfied (1948) (Blues) The Sword - The Chronomancer I: Hubris (2010) (Metal) B.B. King - How Blue Can You Get (1964) (Blues) Funkadelic - Can You Get To That (1971) (Psychedelic Funk) Mac DeMarco - Chamber of Reflection (2014) (Psychedlic Pop?) Robert Johnson - I'm a Steady Rollin' Man (1920s) (Blues) System of a Down - Toxicity (2001) (Alt Metal)
Yet another song I'll be playing until I'm sick to the back teeth of it! And YES, do the 'competition' thing, sounds really cool. Also react to Eyedea - Even Shadows Have Shadows. For the love of god 😂 Almost 300K boiiiii!
6lack don't do nothing but make songs like this... everything he touch is a hit.. the crazy thing is he doesn't make a song for radio play at all(explained this in his last album)... this guy is doing what Bryson tiller couldn't do.. well we hope Bryson bounces back, but 6lack gonna be here for a while...
"Doing what Bryson Tiller couldn't do'' Cold blooded man lol. Let's not write Bryson off just yet! He came out SCORCHING HOT and he wasn't prepared to deal with the pressure of producing a follow up to an extremely successful debut (at least that's what I think). We'll see what his third album (or project) sounds like. Thanks for the info on 6lack! That's dope that he doesn't 'try' to make a radio single!
Lost In Vegas oh I will never write off Bryson... can't do that.. he still had some solid tracks on the second one... I completely agree with you.. that trapsoul was a classic, and it's hard to keep chasing that, especially when you're shooting from the hip, just trying to make it. I think he'll be fine... sidenote, I won't request a review, but if you haven't heard "that far " by 6lack, y'all should listen to it.. it's just as fire... oh and keep doing y'all thing.. I enjoy y'all and your videos..
This video is the EXACT reason why i love this channel. Only for you guys i would have never heard of this artist and his amazing talent. So many talented artists sit in the shadows and never get that one chance. With the medium of RUclips and skillful narrators such as you guys, they are in good hands!! This guy is the bomb. Also the Avelino vid is the s**t!!
Yessssssss!!!! 6lack!!! LOVE EVERYTHING THIS MAN DOES!!!!!! I hope y’all listened to grab the wheel by him and timberland or in between by him and BANKS! Now that he has new music out, I will be blasting his new music!!
Shreya yes! Mine too, its because I can relate to it so well . I had a very similar reaction when I first heard it, 6lack is the TRUTH, without a doubt .
Yeo that’s a dope idea to link up with a producer I really want to see that happen. This song from 6LACK tho is live man he really pushing the genre forward as well as evolving it into something interesting and new. The cadence got to me the same way it got Ryan and George not even gonna front and I thought this song is going to be seeing alot of playbacks from me lmfao. Great reaction Lost In Vegas enjoyed that song very much.
First time streaming this song on Google play music it was just groundbreaking music I love and I listen to 6LACK he was featured in the Apple Music next artist and his album was really good in my book love his new track cutting ties talks about he has trying to breakout as a new r&b artist he has a modern r&b , hip hop , neo-soul distinctive sound reminds me a lot of Travis Scott type of vibe but this is the best song I heard in the new generation in a long time since the weekend , Bryson tiller , Sza . Lauren Hill , great job on the video great analysis , I felt you guys vibes it was really great you guys took your time with the artist and connect with it very creative has a 90's modern type of style good channel love what your doing reminds me of rap city channel I love ! My favorite RUclips channel right now
Dude i am forever grateful to yall and ur page. Im in a sitiation where this helps me process, and rwgulate, and understand BOTH perspectives. When music has been getting from that therapy that made it my lifeline, u are the reason i heard this song, and it helps me keep faith in something i desperateky need throu g ht the hardest times in my life.
I love that idea of linking with producers and discussing your followers' approaches to a beat. I am actually excited to see if that comes to fruition.
Love your idea! I started my own business this year called ArtizLink in Atlanta empowering artists just like you're talking about. Old school music industry had labels giving artists access to focus groups to improve their craft. I think you and I are taking that opportunity and sharing it with the middle class of unsigned artists, fostering the comminity we love in a progressive way. Keep up the great reactions and hope to link up with yall in the future.
I really like the fact they appreciate the part on 7:35, how 6lack went from the last Pre-Chorus to Chorus with that sorta like electro beat in the background, plus how he mostly stretches out the words, it was fiiirre indeed.. 6lack is so underrated. Greaat vid btw guys really enjoyed it
Been a while since I’ve been able to sit down a watch you guys and catch up on all the reactions but dope to come back to you guys growing and grinding keep up the good work #freethinkers
haha ofc! i watch all your videos. it's fun watching your journey into metal and i've discovered some sick artists through you guys (gojira, bas, j. cole, joey bada$$, J.I.D., and now this), keep it up!
One of the best songs out right now. Thanks for reviewing it! Some others I hope you guys can react to are Khalid and Normani’s Love Lie, Frank Ocean’s Moon River, and the Black Panther Soundtrack.
Damn I felt that tune hard. Ryan said it right, 6lack brought that song to life. Thanks for introducing me to this gem. Playlist. Speaking of playlist, have you ever considered making a public Spotify playlist that we as free thinkers can listen to? I know I'd listen. Now for my request... I'd love to see your reaction to Amos Lee. Salute, guys.
I used to cruise Tulsa in mid 90's. LSG "body" was the tune to bump while trying to talk to a girl in the car next to me......the smooth delivery and let it ride texture to this one...reminds me of that. Kudos.
This is one of those songs you have on when your relaxing and contemplating your life, but you still want to head bob. Thanks for the new music! Please- War of Ages: Collapse
I would be so into seeing that idea you guys put forward come to life. That would be next level, super interesting and your insight would be great. Never seen a video like that, super cool idea
I mean if you could just pick a beat and have some other youtubers approach it and pick the best/ most unique to put into a video that would be fire too
Yes this song is creative. It took me a couple of times to catch his flo. Just like they trip on it's Flo its fire the way he incorporates his flava 2 this. It's smooth as hell.
Amazing reaction guys! You should react to Frank Oceans Moon River cover, it’s so beautiful and the first song to bring me to tears! Love from Wales - UK!
My first 6LACK track was "Free".. and that song stays with me.. Still one of the best R&B songs in recent years. It has a sad mood to it, but it's F I R E
Absolute fire...coming from a die hard metal head. Such a minimalistic beat, but his vocals and runs carry this song into greatness. I just smoked at definitely grooving to this.
Love the videos guys keep up the great work! Don't know if anybody will have recommended Masego but you should definitely check out his songs Navajo and Tadow
I love 6lack because he can make a beat work, he'll approach the song and tweak his flow and his way of words when it comes to these types of beats. I agree with you guys when you say this is fire, i probably went as crazy as you guys when i heard this song the day it came out😂 first minute of the song I was like, where's my phone, i need this song😂 any song of 6lack is gonna be fire!
‘“Clarity” is the biggest thing to take away from the song, and learning how to say the difficult things that need to be said, no matter what reactions they might bring. Also, this track references his larger internal struggle of being human and not always knowing how to navigate through relationships with other people. “This world is new to me, I do not know it”’ "I pray to God I don't have to pay for not knowing" "you prolly better on your own" 5,6,7,8 KILLER SONG!
6LACK is super unique.... I love you 2 dudes for being so open to all genres... Free Thinkers indeed
Thank you!
6black can't do any wrong in my eyes and you can even dive into his lyrics if you choose.
6LACK put part of this reaction on his insta story!
Thanks for giving this one a shot my man! 👏🏽👏🏽
What makes 6lack and this channel great is the exact same........Genre bending. Freethinkers can never be pigeonholed! Keep up the good work gents.

Now for my request... I'd love to see your reaction to Amos Lee. Salute, guys.

That idea is dope!
Yes this song is creative. It took me a couple of times to catch his flo. Just like they trip on it's Flo its fire the way he incorporates his flava 2 this. It's smooth as hell.
6lack is the truth, RnB game is getting stronger
Very mellow. Digging the low end on this. A lot.
6lack is everything and the fat that most of his songs tells a story or has a message is a super plus
Amazing reaction guys! You should react to Frank Oceans Moon River cover, it’s so beautiful and the first song to bring me to tears! Love from Wales - UK!
That idea is super dope! Y’all should definitely choose a track and allow ppl to record to it and send it in to you guys!
i replayed this song like 10 times the first day it dropped! it’s so smooth
I heard this the day it came out and I instantly put it on repeat 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
6lack put yall in his insta story!! Keep it going boys 🔥🔥

Man, you guys are fucking awesome.
I definitely would love to hear what you guys have to say about my music/videos. Please do that idea!
Moxas 😂
I love 6lack because he can make a beat work, he'll approach the song and tweak his flow and his way of words when it comes to these types of beats.
