I have an older one for 17 years never had a problem with it! Still works amazing. The other day I found the one like this you have in the garbage so I took it home and it works unfortunately it didn’t come with a few parts but the main parts where there just needed the vacuum hose and the Little adapters which I had for the old one. It too works even better then the old one (e series).
I'm looking at a refurbished one just like this on Amazon. I have an old one - probably 30 years old and I still love it and it still works fantastically. Just would like to upgrade and think it will be nice to have the air filter addition as well. I'll take my old one down to the basement and that way I won't have to run the vacuum up and down, but just the water bowl. Thanks for the video - got a lot of info out of it.
Love this one!! The type 12 is the one I had the opportunity to use (this one here) && it worked amazing everytime. There are flavors to put in the water as well but not sure the company makes them anymore .. you could probably use any alternative air purifier scents as well. 😊
They do still sell the fragrances but I have used the scent beads that you use for laundry with GREAT success! Only need 1/2 tsp or less added to the water for nice clean smelling air!
Today I picked up an E2 Black just like this off of FB Marketplace for a whopping $50! No attachments, but those are cheap. Deal of the year for sure! I've already ordered the attachments off of eBay and am now looking for a RainMate for doing mattress, carpeted steps, etc.
Do they still sell new ones like this one? We still have our Rainbow from over 30 years ago and it is still working but it takes from 30 to 45 minutes to start sometimes. It works great when it starts and I have never had to repair it at all. The carpet roller brush is the only thing that does not work anymore. If I was to buy us another vacuum it would be a Rainbow for sure.
Unfortunately, this has been discontinued a few years ago, and Rainbow now sells the SRX, but there are many other vacuum websites that do sell these refurbished.
@@graysonsvacsandmowers5426 Thanks for your reply. Where can I get parts for my Rainbow, and how much would you charge me to refurbish my 1986 Rainbow Se? The carpet roller is working now I was not connecting the 2 prong connector to the canister. Do you know what could be causing the motor not to start for 30 to 1hour or more sometimes? My wife bought a Shark vacuum and I had to use the Rainbow to get it cleaned out because the dust would stick to the plastic canister and was hard to get it cleaned out right. Thanks for the videos very well done and now I know more about the Rainbow Vacuums. I won't need a demonstration now just fix my old Rainbow or buy me a Rainbow E2 Black Vacuum if I can find 1 refurbished.
@@luisdeleza2954 I would replace the motor or take it to the nearest dealer to get it fixed. My 2006 E2 Gold had some issues but just taking it apart and clearing it up fixed it. The Rainbow SE would be a better investment to repair than replace with a shark vacuum because the Rainbow Se is infinitely built better and would probably outlast the shark vacuum.

Glad you enjoyed the video, I do believe these E series models are way better, power wise than the newest SRX.
Very nice rainbow. I want these so badly.
i love my rainbow e2 silver BUT! i regret spending the $300 on it but my mom uses the rainmaite air cleaner ever single day none stop

If you like upright vacuum cleaners and water filtration I recommend to look for the Quantum x Vacuum
Quantum has had tons of horrible reviews tho so I wouldn't recommend that
@@Articunoboy12 Only thing is that I had a great experience with mine
@@paigelombardi12083 and that's valid. I read lots of reviews on it and a lot of it was not positive
That basin holds 2.5 quarts. The 4 quart for that model has a deep bottom in it instead of having it in a deep square back.
Yeah I can’t believe so many people get that wrong btw u said exactly what I was gonna say!
Ok that basin actually holds about 2-1/2 qts they do offer a 4 qt basin though.
Precisely.
Can you do another video with better angles please. I was dizzy and lost 😞
