The only way to temporarily fix this is to sand them down and put a protective coat on. If you just wet them with water or anything they will look clearer until the liquid evaporates. You can use crisco, vegetable oil, pam. Any liquid will make them look clearer.

Great results. How long does it last? Do the sanding marks come back after 3~12 mos? You need to tell people not to use open flame nor heat plate to heat acetone. Also swirl sanding is terrible. Sand in one direction to area, then repeat at 20degree angle and use a lot more water. Use rubbing compound, not tooth paste, which could suck the oils out of the plastic. I’m betting the acetone eventually causes the plastic to “craze” (hundreds of micro cracks deep in the plastic)
