We grew up only blocks away from Khilwat Palace now known as Chowmahalla Palace, Nizams headquarter. Grew up seeing the Palace minaret or clock tower from our house court yard, as a child wondered what that beautiful clock tower was part of? I only came to know about it many years later after moving to America that the clock tower was part of a palace, of one of the richest dynasty in the world. When asked my mother, why no one ever told us growing up? My mother replied Allah SWT judges you for your good deeds not wealth or fame. That humbled me. May Allah SWT rest Nizams soul and bless him and his family for giving us our very First English translation of the holy Quran.
Assalamualaikum brother.. being an hyderabadi I would like to tell u that may b Mukarram jah has an trust of education he has given his entire palace for school and college purpose not only that it is in old city back in 1990 where Icse syllabus was so expensive.. and only be in catholic institutions he made is it in less fee for this umma to get educated in islamic environment.. i have studied in the same school i am glad Alhamdulilah.. i just want you to put light on this n count this too.. Being from Hyderabad myself and being literally surrounded by many relatives of the Nawab's family .. this beautiful trip down the history lane.. gives nostalgia of the stories I used to hear from my grandmother about the Nawab's family and their lives. JazakAllah khair Sheikh, may Allah SWT reward you.
Our learned and well to do grandmother on her deathbed at the age of 93 recited a Persian poem for us: “Don’t tie your heart to this world, this transitory world will pass away * The throne and fortunes will remain behind, and kingship will pass away.” May Allah SWT forgive and bless her.

Unfortunately it is sad to say that the Nizams of Hyderabad helped the British Colonizers defeat and murder the brave Muslim leader Sultan Fateh Ali Sahab Tipu (Tiger of Mysore) in 1799. May his soul rest in peace. So the family is not as clean as many people think.
Do u think tipu is so innocent? He lived by sword and died by sword. Atleast the nizams protected their kingdom from falling into kuffar hands...!! You can see the difference b/w Muslims of Hyderabad and Muslims of Mysore today.
Calling the Nizam “nawab” is like calling the President “mayor.” Lots of inaccuracies in the talk though the moral of the talk is appreciated. But Hyderabadis everywhere will cringe listening to the the incorrect names, facts and repeated mention of “nawab.”
Nawab and Nizam although used interchangeably, the fact is they were Nizams of Hyderabad, very rarely is the term Nawabs of Hyderabad used to refer to the royal family of Hyderabad. Technically the word Nizam is an equivalent to a king, while the tern Nawab is equivalent to a governor. For clarity, The Nizam of Hyderabad had several Nawabs under him.
Iam from Hyderabad. His Grandfather Mir Osman ali Khan who was the richest person in the world at that time did so much for his people by developing the state and people of Hyderabad especially Muslims are still benefitting from that. But on the contrary his grandson who lived mostly abroad ran few trusts for the poor people but there is no comparison between his grandfather and him. Also as their statemanship was abolished by Indian Govt more than 50 years ago so we do not expect from them anything now. But we all love and respect them for all that they did for us.
Please don't talk blatantly. There are many writings describing the atrocities. Please refer to the word "razakar" if you not already. The movements to liberate Telangana state from Andhra Pradesh are loosely connected to the rebellious movements done by people of Telangana who cannot tolerate the atrocities done by razakars. During those golden years of nawab, people of Telangana were starved to death while there nawab made a fortune. This is bitter truth.
Lol?! The truth which you cannot perceive need not become a WhatsApp story. Please step outside of old city and try visit any country side of telegana. You will find innumerable peasant leaders memorial statues who fought against "razakars" and "patidars". If you don't believe me try find any school textbook on Telangana history published by government of Telangana and find it yourself. I am preparing for TSPSC and I don't think Telangana Government prescribes the syllabus from WhatsApp University. Please don't try distort history.
With all due respect brother I realize you are here giving an overview of history but it hurts me when I hear you use the phrase royal blood we don't have this concept nor do we have kings and thrones we have the concept of brotherhood. Allah says he will never allow disbelievers control of a believers. His diamond paperweight couldn't help him. This was very interesting and to be taken as a sign if you want to be a real ruler you yourself should follow the sunnah.
Irrespective of religion the rulers of the subcontinent, kept the riches to themselves, the riches they got from the natural resources of that region; and kept their subjects in general poverty. Appreciate the contrast in the Middle East, where the rulers were benevolent enough to let the benefits of petrodollars reach each and every citizen.
As salaamu alaikum Brother Yasir, every Sunday you talk about some new things of the past. Why don't you begin a weekly series on the biographies of our salaf. Starting with the tab'ieen (as you have covered the biographies of sahaabah) and then it should go on till the 6 imams of kutub sittah 4 fuqahah ibn taymiyyah and so on. Keep it short and sweet half an hour. Sufficient in shaa Allaah. It should motivate the youth. And yes please don't do it in a way to nail me. I am been tortured by my father and brothers can't bear your pricking comments. Try this idea in shaa Allaah it would be very fruitful and youth will love learning about their salaf and following them.
Nizam wasn't 'semi-independent', his sovereignty was recognized by the British. Hyderabad and the British monarch had a feudal arrangement, not colonial (like rest of India). And no, he wasn't the only one with an army, most princely states had army, and a lot of them like Jaipur, Jodhpur and Jammu Kashmir had way more professional and better armed armies.
I am from Hyderabad, with due respect the 7th nawab became the richest not because of the diamonds or some industrial revolution, he became rich because he and his nobles taxed the life out of ordinary citizens and rural pesantry and he personally owned like 1/3rd of all land in the kingdom which were called Sarf-e-khas lands, the nizam was wealthy, but the population was dirt poor. Thats why the people rebelled during Telangana armed struggle. While he did do some good by opening new universities, hospitals etc however they were mostly for Hyderabad based elites and nobles. So glorifying him is like glorifying the Russian czars, which is absolute BS.
If people were "Dirt poor" how did, they pay taxes? Do you think a poor man can pay taxes? So, either they were really rich and pay taxes and due that 7th nizam became rich or they were really poor and did not pay any taxes. Either way you are lying. He was rich because he was a good businessman.
This speaker is not much true. He is speaking what he is feeded Becoming rich of diamonds is untrue and this speaker do not razakar movement was not suppoted by Allaa Hazrat Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan ra who was interms with Indian govt and even donate tons of gold during war to India govt He is a good speaker and suggest him to do much homework before speaking I am from Hyderabad He is good speaker but need to do much homework prior to speaking on such subjects
The Nawab's decision to remain independent was his political suicide. He was afraid of losing his wealth and power. He thought if he joined Pakistan he would had to surrender his vast wealth and power to the government. Joining Pakistan in terms of having autonomy would be the best decision. If one region was given autonomy, then East Pakistan would also achieve autonomy. Thus the disintegration of Pakistan would be avoided. With the help of vast wealth of Hyderabad, the young nation Pakistan would be able to develop substantially and build up a strong economy. Thus the nawab would not lose Hyderabad and Pakistan would be a strong Muslim country. Thus ultimately he had to give away his power and huge wealth to India.
Not totally true. Pakistan backstabbed Nizam. It is a problem throughout Muslim history, they never supported each other and still you see Muslim countries are fighting with each other. Pakistan said they will send troops if India attacked Nizam but they never sent. Nizam used to take care Makka and Madina expenses, but Saudi and other Muslim countries did not help him, even though he snt the requests. India was weak at that time, if Muslim countries helped Nizam today, we would have another Muslim country. Same thing happened at the time of Tipu Sultan. Ottams empire did not help him, because they thought he is too powerful and become ruler of Muslim world. It is said but true that Muslims hate each other.
🎉proud to be a Hyderabadi, will always be proud to be called one. Snatches of History . Glad someone spoke highly about the 7th Nizam. Nizam means Governor , Nawab means a wealthy person. Nizam's were rulers, kings of the Deccan Ghiasuddin Akbar

My ancestors were closely connected with the Nizam , As a Hyderabadi I feel proud to hear praises about the Nizam of Hyd for his numerous contributions for the welfare of the people. Ok
Why this in Epic? The nawab was Shia and the one who refuse to send army to help Tipu Sultan. And finally surrender to India and never protected Razakar. Young energetic, Islamic and nizam lover students of us mania and other college student. Most of young’s were prisoned, tortured, murdered by Indian army. Alhamdulillah I am one of the sun who were lucky to migrated and start new life for newly Muslim country. Please tell the true story of Hyderabad Nizam and their family.
Mir Osman Ali Khan Bahadur (Nizam sarkar) grandson Mir Mukkaram Jah Bahadur (8th Nizam of Hyderabad) still runs many trusts which benefits the poor muslims in Hyderabad. Because of their contributions Hyderabad is still strong in India and safe for Muslims. InShaAllah will remain the same.

I would like to add few more thing, I heard from many people, Nizam Osman Ali Pasha was a person who had given money to Hijaz the new Saudi at the earlier stage of 19th century...and also given Money to America at the time of War, when they were not having fund for war
We don't have royality, we don't need too. Even we should't desire. Faith and competence is important. We shouldnt take the example of the last caliph but the first four.
Yasir Qadi please dont use the term Khilafa for either Ummayads, Abbasids and Usmanis. These were all sultanates. There’s hell of a difference between khilafa and kingship
As salam alaikum, Being a Hyderabadi I would say Masha’Allah you spoke really well except the way you said his name…. HE WAS MIR OSMAN ALI KHAN…. You didnot mention the KHAN part !!!!! KHAN is IMPORTANT
Worldly powers and glories have no permanancy. Pompous lifestyle is nothing but personal narcissism. It is the higher ideals, the revolutionary outlook, the burning desires to achieve public welfare, to encourage an evolution in public morality and bring nations closer to each other through justice and peace, which gives someone a life beyond ages, rekindle his/her memories in hearts which may have no personal knowledge about the personality.
Aasamualaikum wrwb being a authentic hyderabadi and belongs to nawab family.. There have been a few alterations to your topic; for example, you neglected to describe what transpired at the UN when the Indian government attempted to assault Hyderabad and that, to your knowledge, negotiations for Nizam's 8th position were ongoing at the time.
13:14 this is a crucial aspect when studying the Raj. Indian princes (direct descendants of mughal era feudal kings) lived more luxurious lives than any European king (except perhaps King Leopold of Belgium) and yet no one cares. 40% of India's land and 25% of India's population was under them, yet except Hyderabad and Baroda, most princely states performed worse or equal to the areas under crown rule. Bengal, Bombay and Madras even had elections for local government as early as the 20s.

Instead of Mehdi, he lost his throne. LOL
It's Mukarram Jah Grand S/O HEH Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan Bahadur

@@mohammedazeem965 - Thanks.
I cannot imagine any other scholar sharing these historical-type lectures.
Paul William from Blogging Theology did this story the day after the Nizam passed away.

Though I am an Indian from Andhra, I don't know this History.
ZazaqAllah zazaqAllah
Amazing lecture! Only Sheikh Yasir can do this!
Relax.
Don't forget the Nawabs of Arcot
The acting like he don't know anything 🤣🤣 qadhi or qazi u know very well... speaking english will not make u different 🤣🤣.just be what u r...
Though he was rich, he was a supporter of Jinnah and Pakistan. He sponsored muslim league. British gave money to muslim league through nizam.
BarakAllahu! What an amazing lecture
Yasir Qadi please dont use the term Khilafa for either Ummayads, Abbasids and Usmanis. These were all sultanates. There’s hell of a difference between khilafa and kingship
Nizams are the lineage of Abu Bakr(r)
Strange in the history, on of these Nizam supported killing of Tipu sultan
Baigan me miladere ab nizam ki tareeq ko yaha
Great great grandfather of Nizam made bait with Nizam Aulia in Aurangabad...and gained... kingdom
As salam alaikum, Being a Hyderabadi I would say Masha’Allah you spoke really well except the way you said his name…. HE WAS MIR OSMAN ALI KHAN…. You didnot mention the KHAN part !!!!! KHAN is IMPORTANT
Lol what does Khan have to do anything with it !! Khans in Hyderabad is made up name lol😅
Not really
Same here Richest to poor
Crores to just survival
Why arent you saying the full name "Mir Osman Ali Khan" why are you just saying Mir Osman Ali. Why are you avoiding Khan?
Alhamdulillah
Thanks for your honest opinion. May Allah increase your knowledge more
So now we know, it is Rahul Qadhi, calling himself a Gandhi in India.
NIZAM OF HYDERABAD REFUSED TO HELP TIPU SULTAN.
WEALTH IS USELESS IF NOT USED FIR FREEDOM.
Nizam of hyderabad is the one who finance translation of the holy Quran in English.
