This is a great topic. I have some pest snails but i control the population of them by remove some snails and don't let food in the tank. Great video 👌
Yes , there is not much you can do about snails usually introduced via plants . Surface scraping & frequent vacuuming will help control but not eradication .
Official WASABI Moderator: Hi Rah Rah, this is somewhat true. Once it's infested, it's pretty much always there unless your tank is solely the fish recommended, or when you use pesticides that kill snails.
I had snail problem and I used assassin snails. In my 60cm tank I introduced 4 assassin snails and the problem got resolved in 4-6 weeks. I still have peat snails but they are not much visible. Every week during cleaning I find many empty shells and I know my assassins are working and creating a win win environment.
Official WASABI Moderator: Hi Ancor, there are certain snails that breed to the point where it's an annoyance. If you have Assassin Snails, make sure you only have 1 or 2, so they don't run out of prey to eat, or else they will start creating problems on other livestock.
You are very knowledgeable in many topics and I respect the fact you are willing to help others. Thank you.
