I appreciated World's Fair the first time around, but revisiting it after TV Glow was a really great viewing experience! Especially seeing the writer-director working with different budget levels and still capturing such potent feelings of loneliness and disconnectedness.
Its a pretty awkward fan theory to address if its largely separate from the films themes to them. It's basically someone saying 'confirm my interpretation!' in front of a crowd of people. I think the no is probably about as gentle a rejection you could've got.
I think this form of horror is very promising. Heavy, really speaking to the generation that grow up on the internet. Scared the hell out of me, the sensation of getting lost between lore online and reality during teenage years where I’ve spent hours online to escape from reality … brrr
just watched this movie for the first time after watching tv glow and must say if tv flow captures trans fear and grief, worlds fair captures trans rage and desperation in a way that really has spoken to me honestly in a deeper way than tv glow did. this film felt so visceral, even gutteral.
2:31 “finding myself in the glow of that screen in my parents basement” the foreshadowing is crazy lol

Bewildered by Jane's direct response to the question regarding the room JLB is in.
how come?

Just watched this film. It was beautifully stunning and definitely heavy at times.
Just watched this and glad to hear from the filmmaker.
I’m very excited to rewatch the movie now that I have a better feel for what it’s going for
Thanks for the interview! I love this movie and hearing about the process.

They seem to be a cool filmmaker I’ll check out there films
Not a huge fan of the film but i respect them as a director and as an artist, waiting for "I saw the tv glow"
So jane is the girl in the film. But a creepy pasta. Hmmmm. Wonder if they had that happen to them. I hope shes ok if that did happen.
Jane is a guy tho
Both the film and this interview were astonishing and I can't wait to see what else Jane creates 🤍
