- "Eily Gheal Chiuin (Gentle Fair Eily)", performed by Grainne Hambly (grainne.harp.net) and William Jackson(wjharp.com) at the Institute of Musical Traditions (www.imtfolk.org), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA on October 13, 2012.
Quite simply, Grainne Hambly and William Jackson are two of the foremost harpers of Ireland and Scotland. Combining their extraordinary talents on harp as well as concertina, tinwhistle and bouzouki as The Masters of the Celtic Harp, they have been performing all over the country and dazzling audiences with their artistry.
Grainne Hambly has been touring extensively throughout the United States since 1998. She has not only garnered an ever-growing following of devoted harp enthusiasts, but she has managed to cross over and capture Irish music fans with the taste for the fast, driving reels and jigs of traditional music. She has broken the genteel parlor image of the harp, elevating its stature right up there with the fiddles and pipes. In her hands, the rendition of age-old airs and laments have an unsurpassed expressive quality.
William Jackson has been at the forefront of Scottish traditional music for more than 35 years. Besides his stature as one of the leading harpers and multi-instrumentalists in Scotland, William has gained an international reputation as a composer. His "Land of Light" won the international competition in 1999 as the new song for Scotland.

It's lovely to hear them again. They played for us, a small group of harpists here, North of Atlanta, several years ago and I got to speak with them. Asking how to pronounce her name Grainne told me. She is one of the harpists who have inspired me to keep playing. Asking William about the sweet sounding flute I found it was more expensive than I thought. Hearing it again, I'm reconsidering.
So beautiful❤
