Darkness's masochism being mistaken for heroism will never not be hilarious.
I think at the end, the body swapping was already ended and Kazuma is the one that get punched.
Only Kazuma can make that distorted face, which says “where are the half naked babes?!” Before getting pummeled.
Remember the rule #1 of Konosuba: _Kazuma can't have nice things._ Of course he didn't get to see the oppai and of course he got punched in the face.
@@mnk9073 This time, he deserves to get punched.
I thought that too, but wonder why they didn't show it in the most funny way as a great ending joke. So maybe it didn't happen.
Like a first person pov going toward steamy breasts that turns into a big fist coming at his face, haha.
I had to watch that twice cause I could see it go both ways, and still not fully positive.
I’m pretty sure Kazuma and Iris switched back right at the end there, robbing Kazuma of his degenerate fantasy and replacing it with a punch to the face, lol
It makes the scene even funnier.
The little Megumin / Kazuma romance moments were cherry on top as well. Seriously, Megumin was milking her “exhaustion” at the end. Notice how quickly she recovered her energy as soon as Iris showed up and Kazuma wasn’t giving her all of his attention?
And does anyone think that Megumin didn’t remember that it is Iris in Kazuma’s body as she eggs on the thugs?
Add this to the golden comedy and you have a killer episode.
Kazuma realizing that Claire is “One of those” and lamenting that he can’t find any real heroines in his life was peak.
Honestly, knowing Megumin, I don't think it would matter to her one way or the other whether she remembered that it's Iris in there. She's just having a cool moment razzing some punks. Either Kazuma or Iris should be happy for the opportunity.
Pretty sure Iris & Megumin were the ones egging on the thugs before Iris & Kazuma switched back. Princess Iris is as much Megumin's little sister as Kazuma's. "Explosion" has 2 sequel volumes that take place during the current series, where Princess Iris hangs out with Megumin & Yunyun all the time, & Megumin & Iris aren't afraid to get into trouble, & Iris is actually pretty amazing in terms of fighting & magic skills.
The princesses protector is just as sus as the maid in 7th Prince except this one is better at hiding it.
For me it was silent that had me on the ground 😂, then the princess retainer secret coming out and Kazuma being OK with it, chef kiss for this episode this season is coming to overtake the movie fr 🤣
Alright calling it this season 3 beat the movie, yes the movie had me on the ground 🤣 almost to the point i thought there wasn't going be another showtime against the movie, but Megumin spin-off yeah felt right not complete but it still funny, but this season 🤣🤣🤣, it too much because it is as expected but god damm love this series, praying for season 4 announcement near the last ep
That silence this episode was very loud 🤣
The silence between Eris and Kazuma. And then, the body swap. Kazuma and Darkness.
I loved that he wasn't lewd with the princess's body, but he was plenty lewd with Darkness. And Claire.
As soon as they mentioned the body swapper, I knew with 100% certainty that Kazuma would get swapped. They did a great job! And watching Megumi egg on the princess and the brutes - it was too good. It was so Konosuba.
I agree with you - this season has been a master class.
Thanks again bro!!
Calling it now: The necklace's effect wore off, changing them back to their usual bodies, the second that:
1. Kazuma in Iris' body got naked
2. Iris in Kazuma's body got punched
He was so close to turning the genre into a yuri paradise only to receive divine punishment for attempting to do so... 🤣
100%. It’s freaking hilarious.💀
They switched back just before Kazuma got punched. He missed the bath. Lol.
Called it!
Just when you think KonaSuba’s comedy can’t get even better, it adds a Freaky Friday twist, where Kazuma is perving in the bath and an innocent princess gets sucker punched by a bunch of thugs 😂🤣🤣
Yes man
They switched back before Kazuma got punched. Lol.
yeah but kazuma got punched instead of iris
@@BooleanDev well I guess that’s just karma then
My favorite part of the whole episode was when Kazuma just chucks Megumin carelessly onto the bed
Facedown, and she’s talking into the duvet. 😂😂😂There were so many moments I was laughing uncontrollably
In the anime it is not said, but in the light novel they also fawn over Aqua since she was reviving and healing the guards and adventurers
You see them cheering in the anime she was just a drunken idiot still lmao
They show it. She was just drunk _and_ reviving people (which can't be the safest idea). Don't remember if she was drinking at the time in the LN, but it fits the character.
VA for Iris deserves a fucking award for her performance! She killed it & us with peak comedy!
The longer the silence lasted between Eris and Kazuma, it got funnier. I swore for a moment that my stream had died.
The awkward silence was hilarious I wasn’t sure if the episode froze or not😂😂
you can tell this season that the editors really understand comedy, between perfect cutoff screams and awkward long silence juuust long enought to trick into thinking that you paused the video
Cutting to Kazuma being dead will probably never stop being funny, but his karmic payback at the end there was *chef's kiss.*
Also, can we put some fucking respect on keeping the original body's voices and making the actors imitate the mannerisms of the other party? That's how it should be and that comes across as more fun.
The cut from giving a rousing speech to the army to Eris was perfection.
Are boy is in heaven while are poor princess is getting killed 😢 and that long silence was funny 😆
nah, the body swapping happens right before he gets his bath moment and right as he's getting punched in the face. that transition to kazuma's view was the switch back. dude got blueballed then smashed in the face. amazing.
@@arizona_anime_fan lmao
The voice acting in this anime is so good, it is to me the very definition of how much life and soul the VA can give an anime. Thank you so much to all the artists involved in making the masterpiece that is Konosuba.
Come on now don’t be a weeb, I doubt you know Japanese.
I love Konosuba, that last episode was soo good. I feel kazuma changed back to his body when he got punched before he could get what he wanted and that makes even funnier.
Eris can see him do his pervy things as well, so she can also see the bath scene.... She watches everything Kazuma does. Just think about that for a while.
This was definitely the best episode are boy was at the gates to heaven before being throw down to hell
Iris said hey stop being pervy lol
Kazuma in the body of a little girl is so cursed but I wanted more.
At least Iris can't get mad at Kazuma considering the situation she left his body in.
I can't believe they ended the episode like that! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I would not stop laughing with Kolbolds then the bath. O.M.G
Ok listen apparently
In the novel the switch back was done when
Kazuma/Iris was washing Claire's back.
The ending of the episode can only be described as Karma
still laugh every time this season near the end of the Opening song where Aqua gives the silliest double thumbs up I have ever seen 👍
I laughed today more than I did in 5 years
when kazuma's va spoke like a Iris, I clapped. Maybe it's more funny to me because I recently watched some videos of the cast in events and programs, so I'm imagining his face doing that
"Megumin oneechan"
But also the silence with Eris was extremely funny
I had teary eyes for the last 20 minutes of the episode 🤣
I had maintained a general low key mirth over the episode... right up until "Princess" Kasuma just deadpan ordered Mitsurugi's execution for a head pat. The damn broke at that point and I was absolutely useless for a good 15-20 mins until after the episode ended.
I honestly thought the episode froze but the subtle silence was hilarious 😂
I mean technically Aqua is also a cheat weapon, Kazuma’s cheat weapon, does that mean he has to collect and return her at some point?
I won’t lie I admit the point when he said forget it and went all in, I agreed with him but I was like, I know what’s about to happen………….it was so much worse than I imagined 😂😂😂😂 also kazuma was right, he said he’d regret letting megumin look after the princess. He was right. Now for me the funniest part was the scene with mitsurugi, I just busted out laughing with how casual he was saying, “execute this knave”. I was out of breath 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It was cool that we got PTSD Kazuma as added content
That long pause got me I thought my stream was buffering till I saw the background moving and just died laughing
Poor kazuma can't have things go his own way 😂
My favorite gag of the episode is Kazuma reading what it said on the divine item and realizing after he had already swapped bodies with Iris that it was a divine item.
I was dying of laughter.
this episode was one of the best
Megumin please, that's not Kazuma that's getting beaten up, that's the princess.
No, no, that's Kazuma.
Not intended though
Kazuma's body, yes, but it has the princess in it since they swapped bodies.
@@randomtrainerx.3424 No, they swapped back at the end.
No luck for Kazuma
Ahhh, I missed that part when watching. Kazuma always gets so close, but he either runs away or something happens.
Eris was Chris all this time lmfao
yep, this was the episode i figured would land the show in hot water here in the west lmao
I'm surprised there hasn't been more outrage over Kazuma's actions in Iris's body, but it doesn't seem to have pissed antis as much as I thought. Maybe it will be the end of the next episode that will cause them to lose their minds & make false accusations about Kazuma.
@@WinterGirlRules right, i'm waiting for it, i've been saying for like half a year now that this will be the most controversial konasuba, but i guess they are too busy camping for Palestine to care
Supplementary info/LN changes (Long comment warning.)
The LN says Kazuma’s exact Lvl: 17, which is still less than Aqua’s, when she revealed it in S1E9 (Lvl 21.) Kazuma was actually buffed by Aqua in the LN and this was still his third death, unlike the anime which added more. This LN gives more info on the divine relics, that people can use them besides the specific person, but it’ll be toned down and that Eris warns that reincarnated people might be hunted for these items. A cut gag where Darkness threw his corpse to a corner for safety, but a monster started to drag him away, so they tied him to a heavy object (also he was revived later and not immediately, because Aqua was lazy and didn’t want to revive him again if he died again.)
Megumin foreshadowed the punch and her watching from the side, after saying that she would look after Iris, so she was fine with Iris getting punched. Claire, the second bi woman who’s a lolicon in this series, with Cecily from KonoBakuen being the first and now you know why Claire is so overprotective/strict and loyal with Iris (they also buffed Claire in the anime, because in the LN, Kazuma monologues that he prefers Claire’s body, but Darkness is more well endowed and the bath illustration shows this.) Kazuma monologues that he thought it was cruel that Eris swapped Iris and him back, so it’s clearer that Kazuma was getting punched and Megumin was on Kazuma’s back, instead of standing around (though, they made her do a notable JoJo pose, so I don’t mind it.) Since Claire’s house and full name hasn’t been mentioned by now, she’s from house Symphonia (the houses are counterparts, with Dustiness being the Shield, Symphonia being the Sword, and both support Iris’s family/Kingdom: Belzerg), so her full name is Claire Field Symphonia.
Man I feel so sorry for the princess. Getting her face caved in AND Kazuma ruining her reputation back at the castle.
25 seconds.
25 seconds of the episode with no audio, barely any animation. I had to check to make sure I didn't actually pause the episode.
Aqua healing the wounded in her own way? Darkness running off unarmed into combat? Megumin as the battle MVP?
Ship it. Peak.
The debauched version of Your Name. Holy ShiRt was this a hilarious episode. And being a Darkness fan…….I’m absolutely loving this season. I really can’t think of a cast of VA’s that have absolutely killed it in a series that equals Konosuba. It’s amazing.
Im glad I watched this episode at home today. I love me some fanservice as much as the next guy - but watching moments like that on a laptop - with a full queue of cafe goers + the counter directly behind me makes me worried about elderly folk, parents with kids walking by. 😅 But dang - the princess is a real champ for taking a Street Fighter Super KO finish to the face like that... wonder if she's gonna cry her face out or... react like Darkness 🤣
Bro this was hilarious ooo man I cried lmao
What I love about konosuba is that kazuma will be on this ego trip and right when it seems all hope is lost boom a good heading helping of humility comes and humbles this lad 🤣
This episode was so funny that I could not stop laughing especially towards the end. As the worst possible thing happened, Kozuma & princess Iris switch their mind. Which let Kozuma to fully abuse his new found power. That was so funny seeing how innocent Iris normally is. But now she appeared fully corrupted where she wanted to take a bath and wash Darkness and Claire. Which Claire was a bit too much into as she also showed her true color as a freak here lol. But yeah the plot towards the end of the episode was so great. As Kozuma is faced with four big juicy plot points near his face. Were he just decided to yolo it and undress himself to take part in the bath😍
Also that scene with Kozuma and Eris was so funny and awkward. Like I thought that the video did froze on my end as it was still for so long lol
What happened at the end shocked me to my core. 😲
I deeply hope somehow the next episode is gonna start with Kazuma and Iris having switched back bodies because of the punch that was maybe a trigger to cancel the effect or right before the punch, thus him getting blue balled while having to deal with a swollen face.
Otherwise I don't think I can forgive Megumin the stupidity and carelessness of putting Iris into danger and getting her hurt.
Aside of that, hilarious episode..
They made it clearer in the LN that they swapped back because of Kazuma’s monologue, blaming Eris. However, Megumin completely was fine with Iris getting decked in the face and foreshadowed it in the LN, saying that she would just watch as it happens (however, in the LN, she was piggybacking on Kazuma’s body, instead of standing watch.) Remember, Megumin might be seeing Iris as a competitor for Kazuma and besides, it’s Kazuma’s body.
Ayo can we get a protector to protect the princess from her protector, she hella sus
I did not expect her to be such a freak lol
Dude I was dying my boy is gonna get wrecked once he’s back in his body so damn funny
That was one hell of an ep
Reminded me of why I love this show. Favorite moment? I'd have to say the headpat scene. That got the loudest laugh out of me.
Kazuma in Iris body reminds of Alice from Combatants Will Be Dispatched! only in lazy
Lol I knew the item was going to be the body swap and not the monster summoning, Kazuma is having A LOT of fun with this lucky turn of events, on the other hand Iris is most likely regretting listening to Megumin and wishes she was in her own body. I honestly thought Iris was wanting to go to the toilet and we'd see Kazuma debating how to go about this and what he'll have to do in Iris' position with her body.
I was like bra not laughing😅😂
This was hands down the funniest fn episode of konosuba I've ever seen
Aqua is reviving people by spitting alcohol to them while drunk lol
You seem to not have noticed...
As he's about to bathe he returns to his original body
RIP Kazuma, and it will be very awkward speaking with Iris again.
This episode was amazing lol.
I thought they switched back right as things were about to get good and he got punched in the face immediately.
Yes, they did switched
Nah, people, this is Konosuba. There’s no way they are letting Kazuma having his pervy dream come true while the nice, innocent, little princess being punched in the face. His expression when the thug pulling on his shirt speaks everything. The effect wore off and it’s Kazuma’s face that being caved in.
this season has been great so far so glad konosuba is back i hope we dont need to wait like 7 years for a new season after this tho
If I remember the events corretly, the next episode should be the best one of the season.
I died laughing this episode
After I died laughing, I spent an uncomfortable amount of time in silence with a goddess.
Wait I thought Kazuma switch back to his original body where he gets beaten. Does that mean Iris was the one who got beaten up?! lmao
No. You're correct. They switched back just before Kazuma got punched.
So we not going back to the bath scene
It would of been funny if the episode opened with Kazuma sitting with the goddess. It would only work if the episodes were back to back probably.
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 dear god please continue this legitimate work of comical funnyness😂
Kazuma Lives Matter (parody of Black Lives Matter)
Once again I am in great approval of changes they made for the anime. In the novel Kazuma is so much worse to the point I am at times outright disgusted by him in this volume, to the point it spoiled the jokes for me. I have no idea what went through the author's mind when he wrote this volume, but it's so far the only Konosuba volume I don't like. As such I am really glad the anime toned it down just the right amount. Enough to keep him likable, and not so much as to lose his scumbag with buried virtues vibes.
That being said, the anime screwed Kazuma over more in the fight. The LN made it very clear that his death was the fault of Darkness and Aqua, not him being baited by a lone kobold. He and the two girls had a good formation going, slaughtering their way deep into the enemy formation and taking down an impressive number of enemies (and earning Kazuma some much needed experience points in the process), when suddenly Darkness ran off to satisfy her urges against stronger opponents, and Aqua was just gone all of the sudden, leaving Kazuma stranded alone in a swarm of kobolds by no fault of his own. Unless you count relying on Aqua and Darkness in itself as a flaw, which is fair I suppose.
But on the other hand, the nobles in the LN gave Kazuma an infuriating amount of shit-taking and humiliation, despite him doing really well for someone of his level, while here in the anime they just ignored him.
Overall I'd say Kazuma having his thunder in the battle stolen is very well wroth the imrpovement of the other two issues. So far all the seasons of Konosuba have managed to not just keep the quality of the LN, but improve upon the source material. With the exception of a few small scenes the anime skipped or just summarized, like Wiz's introduction on the cemetary, the anime is the definite version for me.
To me Konosuba was LN series written with the intentions of it becoming an anime... because as funny as the LN was, it wasn't as funny as THIS. I died laughing in a way that I didn't laugh when I read it in the LN. It was incredible.
Sorry but throughout this arc if she doesn't have some kind of revenge against Kazuma for what he did and what he put her through. The princess need to issue a order for that man to stay away from her after everything is done. But yeah was rolling on the ground 13/13 😂
It's made clearer in the Light Novel, but I think it will be confirmed in the Light Novel, that they switched back right before Kazuma got punched.
@@WinterGirlRules😂😂😂
I have the distinct feeling that they changed back just before that punch connected
MVP of the episode had to be Iris's VA as Kazuma. She absolutely nailed Kazuma's delivery.
And I think you misunderstood the last scene. That wasn't Iris in Kazuma's body getting her face caved in. That was Kazuma jumping back into his own body just in time to get his face caved in.
So Iris didn't get a face full of fist, she got a face full of Darkness. I don't think either of them is going to be very happy with him next time he sees them...
Am I late to the party knowing kris is eris? It makes sense after this ep but were there any hints before?
She is in eris faith, has silver hair, and is flat chested
Next week will be much better kasuma op phase will come
I don't think Aqua's been sober for a month XD
It’s funny, because she auto purifies liquids into water, so she’s drinking water under the placebo effect, thinking she’s drunk. She couldn’t tell when Kazuma drank her alcohol and replaced it with water, when he drank it all (LN.)
the people saying this is peak konosuba just read the cliff notes or haters and mimic them. I will agree these are two of my favorite books, but there are others at the top of the pile to come.
Lets see... we're on book 6...
7 - darkness focused, and a bit of a downgrade from the prior two
8 - aqua focused, better then 7, though 7 was pretty funny toward the end, on the whole a better book then 7, but this book was heavily carried by Eris, who really shines in it.
9 - hilarious book, this is more megumin focused, and ties in heavily to her spinoff series. i wouldn't say it's the best megumin content but it's pretty good
10 - this one might be my favorite book in the whole series. it definitely has two of the top 5 funniest scenes in konosuba in it. when i talk peak konosuba this is the book i think about
11 - might be the weakest book in the series. that said lots of komekko in it, and kazutrash being kazutrash, so it's still funny.
12 - one of the funniest book in the series and probably my favorite darkness centered book. a huge step up from no.11 imho.
13 - wiz centered book, and again really good
14 - megumin centered book, also awesome
15 - probably my favorite aqua centered book in the series, and one of the top 5, just hilarious
16 - we're in the final stretch of the series with this book picking up where 15 ends, a little more plot centered but still very funny, you could say this is a 2 parter with no.15 being the silly half and 16 being the plot half. still absolutely hilarious stuff.
17 - and we're at the end of the series. I loved the final book, definitely top 5 book in the series with an epic finale, and good punchline joke to end the series on. has a few of the most memorable scenes in the series in it. (prior to this one, i think the scene which i PRAY they get right in the book they're currently adapting in the anime was the most memorable in the series, we're getting close to it...)
So, in all likelihood Kazuma n Iris switched back to their original bodies. Therefore, Iris would be in the baths n end up explaining the whole situation to Claire and Lalatina. Therefore Kazuma is in for another beating. Come next ep, it'll possibly open with Kazuma kneeling n sayinf sumimasen whith an 2x beaten face. 🤭🫣🤔
I'm convinced Eris is Chris after this episode. Let the haters hate, this has become one of the few shows I call a masterpiece. I'll die on that hill. Kazuma, darkness, aqua and megumin can destroy the universe and I'd still support them. 10/10
For some reason I couldn't laugh this episode. I smiled a few times but I didn't laugh. I wonder why. I remember reading this volume the light novel and had a good laugh and I was excited for it to get animated but when it got animated I couldn't laugh. Maybe it's better to watch Konosuba when I'm not half asleep. I watch it every Wednesday morning when I get up and I'm not good on mornings.
Yeah. Exhaustion does, indeed, a person's enjoyment of a series.
