Dear Fr Warner, the primary purpose of today's parable is to show the importance of repentance & acting out God's will. One son refused to work in his father's vineyard but went later, while the other agreed but didn't go. Jesus was focusing his anger on the scribes & pharisees who considered themselves virtuous, whereas prostitutes & tax collectors were accepting the message of John the Baptist & Jesus & repenting.
Today's readings provoke us to re evaluate our discipleship & have an inward heart change. This Advent may we translate our faith into action & reflect the love of God. Thank you for your inspiring teaching. Godbless & heal you. 🙏 💕

We see in today's gospel a change of heart in the first son, who said wrong but did right, and Jesus ends by saying that prostitutes and tax collectors will enter in kingdom of God, because they repented and did the right, and we all need to say and do the will of God to enter the kingdom of God.Thanks,Fr for your teaching and may God bless you and heal you.

So apt is your title for today's teaching. Thank you Father Warner for your important insights that enriches our understanding of The Word of God in its true context. Just crying out Lord, Lord will not take us to Heaven, but we are called to practice our religion. Sincere repentance, response, conversion of heart and living for God are my takeaways today. God bless you and strengthen you, as you endeavour to spread His Kingdom here on earth.
