Do you feel the need to bend your phone or a television in the near future? Personally I don't see a point to having one that is flexible. May be I could see the benefit for a large television when bringing into the house being able to fold would make it less cumbersome to get through some area but thats really about it. Moveable images and foldable cards though seem to fit better. Seems more durable than paper as well.

I can see it work, if they include the electronics at the bottom where the connector is, only problem is batteries are not powerful and micronized enough currently. The instant someone comes up with a 10x effective battery, you will start seeing flying cars/bigger drones being a thing because they'll finally have decent autonomy. And also power devices such as these.

You could probably manage it. If the card was .ore flexible you could make a pull open card. A battery and speaker at the bottom and ontop is the roller. Then when you wanna deploy your card you pull the two apart and it rolls open.
