I loved his show when I was a kid and he put my artwork on the air. I was thrilled! Thanks, Uncle Floyd Vivino. A local legend
I LOVE Uncle Floyd. He's one of a kind. Hysterically funny, talented musician, genuine, friendly, welcoming to fans, smart, nice, great guy. Can't wait to see another live show!
I grew up watching the Uncle Floyd back in the 80's on NJN. Childhood hero of mine. Such an awesome interview!
Uncle Floyd is THE B-E-S-T!!!!! I purposely work on Sundays from 9:00am to at least 1:00pm just so I can listen to WFDU-FM (89.1) on FM!! I love hearing local things that he & Scott Gordon bring up, along with the eclectic mix of wonderful old music that they play!!! I LOVE hearing those scratchy old 78s!! Hawthorne (yeah), Paterson, Glen Rock, Fair Lawn, etc! Love his "Deep In The Heart Of Jersey". Please, Uncle Floyd, DON'T STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!! I'm 64 years old & to me, YOU ARE THE GREATEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love Floyd Get Well, speedy recovery from your Stroke. Wishing you the best...
.
Great Floyd!! So down to earth and funny and interesting.
This was excellent. I spoke to Floyd for about a half hour and it’s like you’ve known him your whole life. McHugh’s in Ridgewood OMG.
I’m a lifelong fan Of Uncle Floyd ..! From his TV Show in the 70’s to his Italian Radio show to his current show Sunday morning from 9 am to 12 noon on WFDU...! Oogie Forever!
Remember watching this legend growing up. He also did the commercials for Wild West City
Who knew Uncle Floyd had so many connections to Hawthorne? The guy is a true original. Great interview!
Hilarious fun while going down some memory lanes. So glad there is a new publication in Hawthorne....also the host Flavio is fantastic...
Best Uncle Floyd interview ever!
That was VERY enjoyable. Thanks so much for sharing this. I used to watch Uncle Floyd every day after school in the late 70s through the early 80s. Great stuff and great memories. I also enjoyed his Italian music radio show. Super talented guy.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, UNCLE FLOYD!!!
I saw Uncle Floyd in a club in Jersey in 1979. A group of my college friends went to see him. It was so funny to see friends of mine sitting on the floor,it was so crowded. Seeing a puppet show, ie oogy. What great times. God bless you Floyd Vavino.
This was fantastic! Uncle Floyd rules! 25:41 "If you understand and embrace your culture...you embrace others because through the differences you see the similarities. We're all the same". Respect! He's the absolute best! What a great interview! Thank you!
I just found this guy. I lived in Kentucky at the time so I knew nothing about this show. im so glad I found him now! Wish they would upload more episodes.
I miss Uncle Floyd and the crew. Grew up watching him and my mind was blown when I found out he lived in the same town (Totowa).

I listened til the end. Fantastic. I watched Uncle Floyd from the Smithtown LI station channel 68 (or 67?). Anyway, it was not misinterpreted as a little kids show.

Wild West City !!!
GREAT video. Wonderful stories.
I used to watch his shows on UHF tv in Brooklyn back in the old days.
Am surprise he regrets not going to college. Hell, I got two college degrees and never found any use for this worthless education. I've come across dozens of people who say the same here on YT. Be glad you never went to college. Ain't worth the effort.
