ETA: And she's a model, so wearing "costumes" is second nature to her and likely easier to experience normative dissociation while becoming a different persona as she smiles amongst the flashes.

I love how people are so trained to expect a twist that they claim "nothing happened in this movie" and "it didn't go anywhere". Just because there weren't any gimmicks doesn't mean nothing happened.
Fantastic - Could definitely lead into a series of films with her as the main character trying to solve crimes or something similar (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo -esque). With her skill set she can easily bounce back or maybe stay as an outcast/street-level - she's clearly already comfortable sleeping outside etc Big development potential with an unique and interesting main character who isn't a standard male disgruntled detective. (And this is coming from someone who has/is writing his own series with a cliché male detective! lol)
The sad and most horrifying thing is that this is a real thing and shit like this happens without anyone having a way to stop it and only try to catch people who may have some little amount of involvement trying to catch the main suspects.
I feel I just interpreted this movie differently? I felt early on that she had a personal connection to the case (abuse victim, knows someone who died this way etc) because she was incredibly hardened, angry, and threw away her career to solve this case. She appeared disgusted with clementine (the way she forced her to watch the videos) and never once smiled or expressed any “groupie”-ness at all. She was a very angry person (notice the many racket ball clips) and had a personal drive to solve this case (note her reaction to the bidding). The dressing up in court was to get him to look at her so she could see into his eyes (he stared down the whole time). She hated him wholeheartedly and wanted to see him burn. I thought it was super clear she wasn’t a serial killer groupie.
So technically, she is unknown hero here then... She did a good deed proving the guy is guilty and brought justice to the victims and their families but was unknown to everyone but her Edit: Honestly though, she could have gotten a better ending... She is the good guy here but got labelled as a crazy woman and lost her job and basically all her lifetime because of it... She brought justice and really selfless with her act
You'd be surprised how often in real life the good guys don't get recognised. I think it's important to have media that reflects the need to not make assumptions about someone's motivations.
That Clementine character is the crystallization of serial killer fan culture, so particular to North America. Kelly's character reminds me of Liz Salander.
she didn't do any of that out of the goodness of her heart. She did it maliciously. She also gave the mother the messed up cosplay she did in that girls room. She knew the mother had to watch the video(something the mother clearly says she doesn't want to do when she left the court upset at watching the video). She is part of the problem she was the one contributing to the killer by buying all the videos
A man who is savvy enough to film the red rooms always uses their personal account. Hey let me go sell guns and drugs and then put that money into my bank account. Like wtf?? What kind of defense is that ??

One of the questions we were never given the answer to is why sleep on a cold street when you can just call uber at idk 4 am and get to the court building first?
she was trying to portray herself as a "groupie" for the killer. this was part of her plan to get him to look at her. she wanted to see his eyes directly.
@@ramensnail_ good point, he would not directly know she slept out there, but i think she was all about playing the part of a groupie to the fullest degree. she wanted "everyone" to think that about her including the parents. the parents knew she slept outside and therefore thought she was a groupie and at one point the mom even said to the reporters that the groupies angered her. so, the mom giving her the evil eye throughout the case would lend credibility to him that she was in fact a groupie (on his side)

She wanted to know if he was the correct person or all are framing him, so she played poker for the money to win the auction for the 3rd video n she won, got the video, saw he was the person who did it n she gave the video to the 3rd victim's parents n court ordered him as guilty by the proof she gave.....
I really don't get this movie. Why the sudden obsession after seeing the 3rd video? Why the need to dress like her in the courtroom? what is the point of buying theh 3rd clip?
Actually everything she did made sense, she didn't start obsessing after watching the 3rd video, she was obsessing since the case first made headlines. She dressed like his victim in order to get a reaction out of him, which she did. If he really was innocent he would have given the same reactions other innocent people in the court gave, instead of waving back at her. He clearly was not horrified at all nor looked disturbed, he took interest, he responded, why? She wanted to watch the 3rd video for clearer evidence, which she got, she was a good person, despite being a weirdo. Her extreme obsession with this case, even dressing up like the victim, her strange social life despite being pretty and a model is clearly hinting here that she has had some similar experience in the past, she was the only one who knew how to toy with the killers mind and get a very convincing reaction out of him, she is clearly shown to have had experiences that have not been openly shown in the recap.
I enjoyed the symbolism of the main girl's necklace neither showing a christian cross or an upside down one. There is some religious overtones i wouldn't mind finding out more of like the podcaster's mary shirt and the cross in the background of the show.
@@Roxy_rich Clementine served a purpose which was to slowly reveal the unexpected contrast between the two very different motives of her and Kelly Anne despite seeming similar in the obsession department at first impression .
Perhaps the film is about knowledge of good and evil. Allow me to explain. The protagonist is clearly disturbed by the realities of the crimes committed. She goes to extensive lengths to find the truth, sacrificing part of her sanity and health in the process. Without this sacrifice, the truth would have never come to light. The protagonist utilises her skills at poker and intellect to find am answer. She enters a form of hell (poker with the sickophants who want to watch the dark Web murder) and wins. The resolution to the evil comes about because one good person sacrifices part of themselves. We, the viewer are then left asking - how far would we go to ascertain the truth?
Some serious plot issues with this film. Since when does a judge predetermine the length of a trial? I mean perhaps he was imposing a 2 month limit, and I understand why it was included in the movie so as to show how immersed the characters would unwittingly become, but it's silly. Even more upside down is around 10mins when the jurors are forbidden from watching the gore film but the family was made to stay. That's completely unrealistic. Normally, loved ones are not allowed to see videos due to the trauma it might cause, but jurors would need to see all admitted evidence pertinent to a case. Why would a jury be asked to leave without seeing evidence?? Stuff like this makes me quickly lose interest in a film. I can watch past bad acting and even some bad dialogue, but unless it's actually SciFi, I prefer the subject matter to be believable. Heck even Batman films know how to get it right.
12:37 I thought she was fired from that modeling job because she was filmed outside the courtroom 🤔 Why would she be fired due to a poker addiction? How would they even know? Did I miss something?
I still don't get it....if main character didn't get the video, would that guy find to be not guilty? Seems like he'd be guilty regardless. Why break in and leave that flash drive to victim's mom? Seem very cruel to the parents if they watch it without knowing what it's.....Just anonymously give it to police?
The basis of this movie is that Kelly Ann loves to see everyone lose and she even states this to Clemetine. Although she brings a murderer to justice, she also beats her competitors for the evidence, and terrorizes the victim's family all at once. Just like when she cosplayed as the victim in court, she not only got the reaction from the defendant, but also terrorized the victim's mother. She's a sadomasochist. She delights in the misery of others while fantasizing about her own death wishes.

The only thing that didn’t make sense was why she was weirdly dressing up as the victim and then taking pictures of herself in the victims old room. I mean, is she mentally ill? Was that suppose to be what was going on? If so there was no pay off for that. It just led to nowhere really.
I think Kelly-Anne feels as if shes broken. She lacks basic emotions and feels ashamed because of it. I think thats why she broke her AI. The true horror is things like this really are happening!!

this world is crazy
What in the world will be going on in your mind to do something of such a nature.
I love how people are so trained to expect a twist that they claim "nothing happened in this movie" and "it didn't go anywhere".
Just because there weren't any gimmicks doesn't mean nothing happened.
Spot on i feel like tge twister was nothing too unrealistic happened and its refreshing. Fuck you evrryonr else! :)
I mean, the title of this video says "...And She'll Suffer The Consequences", but there are no consequences, so it's just a clickbait
@@skun406 her life is in disarray, she lost her job and she spent a lot of money and time. Those are severe "consequences".
shut up, that make no sense
Fantastic - Could definitely lead into a series of films with her as the main character trying to solve crimes or something similar (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo -esque). With her skill set she can easily bounce back or maybe stay as an outcast/street-level - she's clearly already comfortable sleeping outside etc
Big development potential with an unique and interesting main character who isn't a standard male disgruntled detective.
(And this is coming from someone who has/is writing his own series with a cliché male detective! lol)
kind of reminded me of Lisbeth Salander from teh Milennium books
The sad and most horrifying thing is that this is a real thing and shit like this happens without anyone having a way to stop it and only try to catch people who may have some little amount of involvement trying to catch the main suspects.
was thinking the same but most ppl would laugh at us for just thinking it.
His last name, chevalier means chivalry and is synonymous with Knighthood.
Don Quixote 😂

Me too! So glad I found his channel 😊
Yes! The recaps are great!
That goth girl in the jury lmao
Right? Lol that kept distracting me
So technically, she is unknown hero here then... She did a good deed proving the guy is guilty and brought justice to the victims and their families but was unknown to everyone but her
Edit: Honestly though, she could have gotten a better ending... She is the good guy here but got labelled as a crazy woman and lost her job and basically all her lifetime because of it... She brought justice and really selfless with her act
but is she really the good guy? she left the USB at that girl's mother's place instead of giving it to the police
You'd be surprised how often in real life the good guys don't get recognised. I think it's important to have media that reflects the need to not make assumptions about someone's motivations.
@@freja201 The police are not the good guys in this stuff, giving them anything in such matters will only bring more abuse
Most women are until a long time later, too long
yea, we all watched the same video. shut the fuck up if you have nothing to add.
That Clementine character is the crystallization of serial killer fan culture, so particular to North America.
Kelly's character reminds me of Liz Salander.
Brave! To prove that the man is guilty she wears what the thirds victim was wearing. Then she bought the 3rd video and gave it to the victims parents.
She was more obsessed with the videos and the victims than the case itself
she didn't do any of that out of the goodness of her heart.
Hello everyone ✋ x very sad disturbing things like this are still happening. Be careful who u trust n where u go Christmas x around the corner, enjoy the weekend bye😘😘
So the girl had the guys back and had never saw a video he made?
She literally had the same face for every scene 😂
But why literally?
One of the questions we were never given the answer to is why sleep on a cold street when you can just call uber at idk 4 am and get to the court building first?
she was trying to portray herself as a "groupie" for the killer. this was part of her plan to get him to look at her. she wanted to see his eyes directly.
@__ZANE__ how would he know she had stayed outside, sleeping? or would he could read that in her eyes as well?
@@ramensnail_ good point, he would not directly know she slept out there, but i think she was all about playing the part of a groupie to the fullest degree. she wanted "everyone" to think that about her including the parents. the parents knew she slept outside and therefore thought she was a groupie and at one point the mom even said to the reporters that the groupies angered her. so, the mom giving her the evil eye throughout the case would lend credibility to him that she was in fact a groupie (on his side)
Model, Poker Master, Elite Hacker, Skilled Burglar, Bitcoin Millionaire, Fitness girl, Amateur Detective... You keep saying "Kelly-Ann," but I don't think that's the proper way to pronounce Mary-Sue.
I though Clementine was the actual killer her eyes are kind of similar

Ehh, maybe not number one but def like these recaps
That was an underwhelming reveal tbh, was hoping it'd do something twistier with the red room concept like Welcome to the Game
Not everything needs some crazy plot twist, dude. Society is so trained into expecting plot twists and craZy endings that they think something straight forward is "nothing happened". Like okay, this concept isnt new. Stick to your true crimes or Riverdale, i guess.
This movie is deep 😢

Where can I watch/find this movie?
Thanks for being here for me film recaps❤❤❤
Her extreme obsession with this case, even dressing up like the victim, her strange social life despite being pretty and a model is clearly hinting here that she has had some similar experience in the past, she was the only one who knew how to toy with the killers mind and get a very convincing reaction out of him, she is clearly shown to have had experiences that have not been openly shown in the recap.
to rest the case of the girl to have evidence chevalier was the murderer i think

@@toobaaaapiThat's good explanation. Except how did she know that third tape will have the evidence?

I enjoyed the symbolism of the main girl's necklace neither showing a christian cross or an upside down one. There is some religious overtones i wouldn't mind finding out more of like the podcaster's mary shirt and the cross in the background of the show.

Perhaps thats the twist. idk why so many people are acting shocked lol
@@Gloomyraindrop yeah that is the twist but it kinda gets your hopes up ti let them back down lol
Because the film wasn't a who done it. It was about a model/poker pro obsessed with Red Rooms and the resulting court case.
@@jackspawn77771 ok so then there was no need for that character defending him because like you said it wasn’t about who done it
@@Roxy_rich Clementine served a purpose which was to slowly reveal the unexpected contrast between the two very different motives of her and Kelly Anne despite seeming similar in the obsession department at first impression .
Movie name
Why the fuck would the *jury* not see the video?!
the jury stayed. only the visitors left. and kelly ann was a visitor, not jury despite what recap says.
What is the name of the movie?
Heello...Have a great day❤❤😊
Bruh this entire movie is just a giant strong idependent women power trip
Except she wasn't playing Red Room poker it was just a regular online poker game for Bitcoin so she can try to win the unrelated snuff video auction.
We jus gon ignore she likes to watch disturbed vids I didn't get it at first but man watching that stuff changes people
Female version of Patrick Bateman 😂
No, not at all lol
Name of the movie???
the ending was a total letdown
I didn’t realize the FBI worked in Canada.

It think its weird that she got dropped for gambling.
pay phone? what year is this movie set in?
Him not getting a parking ticket or violating even a little law is already a red flag 💀
It seems nobody thinks about wgy she lives almost without human interactions and wants to take this man down. She has most likely been abused
Your content is the best 😊
Imagine if she was the killer the whole time
happy and great day to you as well
12:37 I thought she was fired from that modeling job because she was filmed outside the courtroom 🤔 Why would she be fired due to a poker addiction? How would they even know? Did I miss something?
that is so intresting
Was Kelly in on it? I feel like there's more to this story.
I agree, I’d say that she could “ expose people and sell what you can get from it on the deep web
What consequences did she suffer? She was able to give the victim's parents closure with the 3rd tape ❤
Ngl, clementine lookes like a female Steve Buscemi
She just seems like a courthouse cheerleader
Or a serial killer groupie.
I was waiting for a twist that never came.
Because Kelly Ann is not the good character people are making her up to be
The basis of this movie is that Kelly Ann loves to see everyone lose and she even states this to Clemetine.
Sorry but that's just a bad review..for one she's not even part of the jury, for second she doesn't really care about Clementine, they weren't "inseparable", and as a third the plot of the movie is more about her treading the edge of her sanity because she feels a connection to the killer, hence her courtroom costume and her taking pictures of herself in the house of the victim at the end. So much lacking from the review it's like you didn't understand the movie. I get the comments saying the movie sucked because well your review sucked
“Aspiring teenagers”? You either are, or aren’t, a teenager.
Does the movie actually show the videos
Jurors in Canada are allowed to contact other people for the duration of the trial?

The only thing that didn’t make sense was why she was weirdly dressing up as the victim and then taking pictures of herself in the victims old room. I mean, is she mentally ill? Was that suppose to be what was going on? If so there was no pay off for that. It just led to nowhere really.
Good movie
Yet again another movie i wont be watching because of the ambiguity
What a mess! I never got the motive behind why Clementine or kelly's obsession with the case!
So thats not clementine at the end right??? Right??
I think Kelly-Anne feels as if shes broken. She lacks basic emotions and feels ashamed because of it. I think thats why she broke her AI.
I think she believed that if she solved this case, she’d feel something. Some sense of, righteousness or excitement or joy. But after all of that, she felt nothing. So she broke the AI. She embraced the fact that shes not like the rest of us, and she doesn’t want to be.
She broke the AI because she was afraid it was spying on her during the bid. That's why she was paranoid about the men and the white van outside her window.
That protagonist sure has a lot to her name. No wonder she was that good.
Lives in luxury apartment sleeps on street to get to courtroom faster. Ok ive seen enough.
