I believe the leap you're asking about is called a Grand Fouetté Sauté in a single stag position. One leg brushes forward as the dancer leaps, then leaving the toes of that foot where it is in space, the dancer turns his body in mid air to face the opposite direction leaving the leg now in an arabesque position. The take off leg bends into a parallel passe (toe to knee) at the apex of the leap. The take off leg is also the landing leg.
