I like a number of vocal artists, about 5 very top singers that I really admire and like, and now, Shirley is right up there with them at the top, and her talent exceeds most of them because she is both a great jazz pianist and vocalist. And of course Miss Edith Piaf. Even the Valentines with their doo-wop sound of this song is amazing This version is just amazing!
I hope life could be kinder to her towards the end, as she deserved. Such talent, a brief passing angel, lived just long enough to show us all what love and tenderness are all about !! RIP.
