If I had to say, I'd say it sounds more like Russian, but I can see where the original commenter is coming from when they say it's sung like English. I can't really understand the words even when I'm following along with the subtitles on account of the way it's sung, though perhaps that's more indicative of my Japanese level than anything else. Also did you use the new translation feature to understand that comment? The idea that people can have conversations speaking completely different languages with it is pretty cool.

I find it interesting that people come back to this and see 'Princess' in a new light (the character) after watching/hearing MJB. But, like, she was never anything but a villain. This song is about someone who goes into groups, grabs the attention/obsession of everyone in it, and destroys the group in the process. At least, that was my impression, going based on the video and lyric translations. So in the equally dramatized MJB video, she does roughly the same thing. She enters into THHK's fanbase, grabs the attention/obsession of everyone in it (including him), (expands the group), and destroys the original/creator in the process. The songs are both made from a place of authenticity, but dramatized for the sake of engaging videos/songs. Honestly, MJB seems like the natural continuation of this song's themes, which is phenomenally done.

(Communicating in different languages is pretty fun. Used to have this maid, and we would speak to each other in different languages, rarely speaking the same one to each other, to the point that we both understood each other’s languages way better after three years. It just became our thing.)

I find it interesting that people come back to this and see 'Princess' in a new light (the character) after watching/hearing MJB.
But, like, she was never anything but a villain. This song is about someone who goes into groups, grabs the attention/obsession of everyone in it, and destroys the group in the process. At least, that was my impression, going based on the video and lyric translations.
So in the equally dramatized MJB video, she does roughly the same thing. She enters into THHK's fanbase, grabs the attention/obsession of everyone in it (including him), (expands the group), and destroys the original/creator in the process. The songs are both made from a place of authenticity, but dramatized for the sake of engaging videos/songs. Honestly, MJB seems like the natural continuation of this song's themes, which is phenomenally done.
Ok I saw this after mjb so I don't know what I would of thought if I saw this before mjb, but I have no idea what else this song can be about. If princess isn't a villain then what is she?
