    These are such helpful videos, Dean Z! I watched every single video during the last cycle and I think I would not have ended up at my current school without your advice. As a first-gen college student without any connections to the legal field I had such a significant knowledge gap going into the application process. These videos really brought me 'up to speed' and gave me the confidence that I needed. You are doing a great service to applicants by creating these videos; I'm really happy to see that you started up again. I'd love to see the grammar tips make an appearance again, too :)

    Dean Z, your content for the University of Michigan Law School is really helpful. In particular, I found the faculty and clinic profiles fun and informative. I have a couple suggestions that came to my mind for future content. First, you could conduct a series of 1L, 2L, and 3L "student perspectives" videos to shed light on how it feels to be a law student at the University of Michigan and shed light on the differences between a student's first, second, and third year of law school (goals, schedule, life, etc.). An additional suggestion would be to do another applicant profile on an individual who successfully reapplied after a rejection or a student who successfully transferred to Michigan. Thanks for the work you do to help applicants succeed.

    Thank you so much for the video! When I write my "Why Michigan Law" statement in the upcoming cycle it will be completely about Dean Z and the abundant amount of positive energy she imparts. Being one of the most visible representatives of the overall atmoshpere of Michigan Law, Dean Z is reason enough to have the University of Michigan at the top of my law school list.

    Thank you for these videos! Do you have any advice for law school “splitter” applicants (lower GPA, higher LSAT)?

    Dean Z,
    How much consideration do you give to a substantial improvement in grades after sophomore year.
    Specifically for me, I took a gap year for personal reasons. Before the gap, I had several B's and C's, but I really matured up before returning. After the gap, I maintained a 3.9x GPA.
    Thank you and very glad you are back!

    Though the backgrounds and experiences of successful Michigan Law applicants vary greatly, is there one strength/characteristic that all admitted students share?

    You may not hear from me this month Dean Z, but you shall soon enough (I figured I'd boost my LSAT first). I'll find a way to add splenetic into my personal statement just for you ;)

    What is going to make this admission season different than the last two years?

    • @Joshokitty
      @Joshokitty 2 года назад +1

      i think she’s hinting at the fact that the last two years were characterized by deep pandemic admissions whereas now we’re exiting the pandemic phase and things will return relatively to normal
