  • Ribbit made Canadian aviation history last month by completing the first fully automated cross-country flights between two airports, with no pilot intervention from takeoff to landing!
We are now focused on the next phase of operational testing and evaluation as part of our federal contract with Innovative Solutions Canada and Transport Canada - Transports Canada. The coming months will involve:
    🛫 Continued automated gate-to-gate flights
🚦 Safe airspace management in urban and busy airport environments
🚨 Demonstrating contingency plans and procedures in mock emergency scenarios
💺 Preparing for flights without anyone aboard the aircraft
✈ Acquiring and modifying additional, larger aircraft to begin serving private sector customers who have signed on (the two-seater you see here is perfect for rapid development and testing, but our plan was always to leverage larger aircraft for commercial service)
It's amazing what small teams with a clear goal and a sense of purpose can do. If you or your organization is interested in how fleets of small autonomous planes can help you improve service levels and reach new markets, drop us a line!

Amazing - well done!! Safety pilot at the ready, good to see a strong safety culture ;-) Hwo was the flare? It's hard to see on the video. Also, is it a radio altimeter that you are using visible on the screen? Curious...

Thank you, Emanuel! You have a good eye... On approach, we fuse GPS, altimeter, and laser altimeter measurements to obtain height above ground. The flare was butter smooth. Watch our unedited videos to see an example. Here's one > ruclips.net/video/UqqxsHM_GZY/видео.html&ab_channel=Ribbit
