As a fantasy reader a few books you might like are the Regency Fairy Tale series by Olivia Atwater. The first one being Half a Soul. They are super short (around 200 pages) can be read as standalones, though I think if you want to read all of them you should read them in order. I just think you would really like them and they are not at all intimidating.
Oooh I’ve heard good things about that series. I didn’t know they were only 200 pages though! That definetly appeals to me haha 😅 thanks for the recc lovely 😇
Prefacing this with the fact that Red Queen is my favorite series but here’s some of the info you wanted!! - The short stories aren’t necessary to the plot but there is an epilogue short story that is technically the end of the plot. I really enjoyed all of the short stories though and was never bored with any of them. Broken Throne is the collection of all the short stories in one! - I always worry about this so I’m adding it, the second book is good- but not nearly as good as the rest of the series. I’ve seen a lot of people dnf because of the second book but the third and fourth books are the best things ever so try to push through. A lot of the second book is necessary to have the amount of fun that we have with the third and fourth books
I agree about the No-Show! I didn’t think it was a typical romance either, which was why it appealed to me at all, and I was also very confused and annoyed and all the things, so at least there’s two of us! 😂 It was a fun enough time I thought. I love the video format, perfect pacing with the blind picks and the reading vlog parts, really like the mix. And I get why you like filming them, a lot less rigid than an entire tbr of ten books to be bound to for the whole month. Keep em coming! And Hi Blue, I guess! 😂 The Beach Party sounds fun! Adding that 👍
With Red Queen I've only read (listened to) the first one and the 2 short stories. The Cruel Crown is both of them together. Queen's Song is about the queen before she married the king and Steel Scars is about Farley. I have enjoyed them and plan to finish the series.
