Just purify your container (Mind and Heart) and begin with Quran (with any translation of it you like). You shall be guided by the Almighty through His Book which is full of wisdom itself. Secondly, this Book (Quran) is sent on the heart of Our Beloved Prophet صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, so for understanding the Book, one must look into the life of Prophet صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ which is now present in textual narrations in the Books of Hadith. For this purpose, take any reliable book of Tafsir (Commentary) which in the explanation of ayah will quote you many Hadith. This way hopefully you will start to think in the most rational and intellectual way possible based on the divine knowledge revealed to humankind. Quran 2:2 This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah - Literally, those who have taqwā, i.e., who have piety, righteousness, fear and love of Allah, and who take great care to avoid His displeasure.
