LS swap is pwm signal, but i have Toyotas smart system, with RLO wire from Ecu that Also is a pwm signal, but something is different? How can i RLO swap?
I have a 3.6L VZ Commodore / Holden / GM alloytec like the one in the v6 camaro and Cadillac CTS 3.6L V6 the alternator is a Mitsubishi a003tg1991 alternator it has a 2 pin plug a orange wire and a white wire the pins are FR / F terminal and L Terminal I guess means light ? My alternator isn't charging / exciting I cut the wires off the plug so my duty cycle was 9% when running now it's at 99% when running but it's not charging and dash light is still on so exactly what wire out of the 2 is the one that I need to reconnect keep connected to the alternator with and have it plugged into the voltage reg so it makes the alternator turn on / give it the power to charge the battery orange or white ? I connected it back up the other day I wired the orange wire back into the plug and put it on the bottom pin of the regulator which if you google the alternator the diagram says 2 is top pin and 3 is bottom pin so I had orange wire onto pin number 3 but still no charge it's running off battery power still, duty cycle still at 99% and dash lights still on saying Alternator F terminal Low Voltage ? So have I plugged the wrong wire into the wrong pin or am I missing somthing ?
@@63FalconTurbo thanks for the response! Idk if on an OEM setup this would trigger the alternator light to come on. I've heard of a resistor being used to keep the light off and not dry the regulator, but can't confirm.

@@DADDYCOKE2012 cheers these smart alternators are very sensitive and always seem to have faults lol my old car same model but 6 months apart in build they had the old style alternator and not the smart alternator lol how easy it was to just change a voltage regulator in 2 seconds unscrewing 2 star screws vs there smart systems which most seem to be sealed units ect I guess to get more money since if the regulator goes bad you'd basically have to by another alternator unless you bypassed it but ugh why'd they have to make smart ones lol the old style were just fine
That’s a bad a$$ shirt !!! Thanks for rocking it! 🎉
So you reset the pwm every time you start the rig?
what did you do with the s wire?
Być może wiesz, jaki alternator posiadasz i którego kodu PIN używasz

U can do Toyota in the fuse box under the hood. I found a tutorial on google about it.
@ not any Toyota, i dont have alt fuse,

What did you do with the harness end of the L wire?
The harness plugs into the alternator. The L wire goes to the PWM output on the signal generator. The other wire in the harness is not used.

Does your rpm go up there higher the duty cycle is set?
I will have to pay more attention next time I am messing with the duty cycle.
What about the dash light?
What about the red dash light for when the alternator isnt working?
Did you find a way to make yours work ?
@wheresmycardudee my system is working, but the L terminal Is the Lamp, not Load. And I'd like to hook up an idiot light. Lol
