Great review! We’ve loved ours as well. We’d echo the challenges with getting it to temp for baking. We’ve done a few baked goods but like it more for Dutch oven slow cooker recipes.
Hi great video. Thanks for the run-down on how you use an extra thermometer for the oven and also that closing the top flap will help circulate the heat around the oven. I was wondering why mine was staying around 100°C. I love my stove. Having the bigger firebox to heat my place is working as intended.
*can you please explain how the levers work and the dial knob near the top venting pipe near rear right of stove* *edit* thank you for the run down explanation.. The instructions are so vague on the operation*
We found the creosote will build up faster if you are running the air around the oven. My recommendation is to route the air straight to the chimney if you aren't using the oven. The chimney will require cleaning more often than a standard woodstove, as will most cookstoves. A thermometer on the chimney can also help to make sure the air is still hot as it travels upwards.
We have not had to change them out. As far as I can tell, the steel supports would have to either be cut out or bent to make enough room to insert a new brick. From there, you could either use mortar to attach them to the side of the stove or bend/weld the support back into place.
Ok thanks do much. I heard back from retailer who's aid you have to remove the steel in Firefox and remove side bricks first then sides. It is a bit of work but not steel cutting necessary. I'm just waiting for instructions how to remove the steel
Burn time depends a lot on the type and moisture content of the wood as well as damper settings. We were able to have a fire burn nearly all night with some larger oak pieces and all dampers shut down completely.
Our inspector wouldn't even inspect ours without us stamp when I replied well what if it was made in 1800's and worth 1/2 million dollars lol he didn't care such crap borrowed friends little stove with stamp got insp an took it back out an put mine back in 🖕🏽them insp more than one way to fix that problem lmao
It is definitely a smaller oven, but the stove is used primarily as a heat source. The oven is an extra benefit. It does fit a 13x9 which works for most of what our family needs.

The lack of manual/instruction is definitely a flaw. If you have more questions feel free to reach out.
Hello, I have the exact Woodstove. I was wondering how hot (temperature) can I run it? I seem to have alot of creosote.

Have you changed the firebrick by chance. I can't see how.

The steel bars that surround the shaker grate in the bottom come out then take out side bricks first then the back ones
So what is the burn time?

How much is this

That is the smallest oven I've ever seen on any wood cook stove who cares about the Firebox if you can't cook in it
