If you're "getting into audits" to have fun, as in making fun out of getting into confrontations and tense situations with LE, you're getting into auditing for the wrong reason. It should be more of a job than fun time. If you want to have fun, do something other than Auditing. There are plenty of so-called auditors out there who are doing it to have fun, and they are complete tools who make auditors look really bad (HDCW, MexicanPadilla, RCA and others). Do it to effect change and teach, not to "get back at The Man."

I'm from Denmark, where it takes 3½ year to become a rookie cop, and I was a heroin addict for 17 years, spend 2 years in jail, and had a lot of contact with cops, but never have I been treated badly by any cops. They've tried to trick me into telling them things, but always in calm conversation, and without any kind of force, or huge EGO problems.
Just to let you know, it IS possible to have a good relation to police, WHEN cops are well educated, AND when the cops don't want dirty colleagues, as it makes their investigations and contact with the people a lot more difficult and dangerous, if there are no trust and no respect to the police!!
The US' policeforce has to be torn down, and all changed from the top to the bottom. You always need to start in the top, and get rid of the dirty corrupt ones there first, and they teach, and they incourage the dirty ones to become more dirty, more violent, and lie and falsify more, and arrest and kill more innocent people.
And having politicians to point out chiefs of police AND judges, and make it all about politicts, and especially in a country with only 2 parties, it's clear, it is all about "either you are with us all the way OR you are our enemy"

"Justice" will always be all about WHO and not WHAT. If a person is killed, it's all about WHO killed him to determine if the killer is guilty or not.

Treyvon Martin is one of many young people killed because of race, and the killer was "innocent" because of WHO he was, and not WHAT he did.
Had Martin been a white boy and the killer a black man, well, we know what the verdict would have been then. (I know, it's 10 years ago, but still nothing have changed!)
Chauvin was the one of a very, very, very few cases, where a glimpse of justice was seen, but NOT the beginning of a change in cultur or policy.
ONLY as many cameras recording more and more of the crimes the cops have always gone away with, and these recording viewed millions of times to an audience from all over the world, it's the ONLY thing that can change the outcome of some cases.
Cops have cameras too, WHEN they record and when they don't mute the sound, AND they don't delete or edit them after they have uploaded them back at the station and BEFORE they are logged into their system.
All cops can edit and delete their own bodycam's recordings!!
Sorry to be so negative, but in my view it's just how I see the facts.
And SO sad, as we in the Scandinavian countries have cops that are so much better educated and trained, AND we have the best prisons in the world, and surprise;
Good cops and good prisons is NOT = more crimes! But the opposite!!
The more equal people are, with free health care, free education, less corrupt politicians, the better quality the lives of low-income families, the less desperate people will get, and the less violent crimes are committed.
It's all connected. But it was not always like that here.
It has changed because we chose it, and we voted for politians who would improve our lives, our daily lives, and not just "MY life", but OUR lives.
And knowing there is ALWAYS room for improvement and ALWAYS a few percent with power and money ready to make life worse for the majority, if we don't keep an eye on them all the time, and beat them before they can do too much harm!
(And we rely more on team work, solidarity, humans work, and not so much what any of the many Gods can do, as we don't pray for better minimum wages, but WORK TOGETHER, us humans, to get things done and things changed!
But, if one day a God can prove he or she actually is with the poorest and the most fragile people, then perhaps, but until then, we see religions are a private matter, and not something we can rely on giving us a better minimum wage, better free health care, better policing, etc.

I am too but I am still apaoled by how they interact and resort to physical contact. In the EU in general (there are always exceptions!) they avoid it. Our policing us also in his structure vert different then in the US.
There are issues that EU police rarely deal with because of our weaponlaws, but even then I do think that alone dies not justifies that every encounter should be physical.

Well he was the one that automatically knew what an audit was and is referring Bay Area Transparency. So he obviously knew that what he was doing was okay. That's why he told that officer to stand down. He was just educated. He should've told the city manager that it was okay.
Why would a group of cops be outside in public talking about what they are going to do? What they are doing is no different than a group of them standing in a circle in time square talking about it. Those talks are talks that should be happening before you leave the back of a police station or swat van if you are so worried about people talking.

I’ve had my rights stomped on by a gang of police in Newport, RI. before there were cell phones back in the 1980’s. It was really scary. Thank you for doing this. I feel safer out in public now that auditors are out there. 👍
I lived in Newport in 2015. Newport cops are pretty good now! They started a new program for hiring of police officer's, it's experimental. If you want to work patrol (on the streets) they only hire police officers who are 30yrs and older and you have to have at least bachelor degree in criminal justice. If you want to be promoted to LT, you need a masters degree.

I woke up and got educated when I was 37 years old. Realized my rights had been violated at least 8 times that I can remember and I unknowingly surrendered my rights countless times. Need more men like this teaching people. I'm planning on starting soon myself.
