From my late Grandma. She gave it to me as a birthday gift many years ago. I don't know that its any kind of fancy thing but I love it. The numbers on the face have this sort of cool melted lookng quality.
The curiosity does the trick doesn't it. Curious about a new job. Curious about a new country. Never tried something like this before in my life so it is absolutely an adventure. Gotta have a bit of fear and danger though as well, that's how you know it's real adventure and not just tourism. I say this now of course. Just wait until i arrive and get something in the water that gives me brown river cherry blasts for weeks.... Gotta stay strong.
Gotta hate those spitters. Japan is great though. It was an amazing experience and much as Thailand makes sense now for the current startup business plan, Japan will continue to have value for those whose lifestyles it fits. And it's always here to come back to. I am not a member of the beatles. Haha, anywways, Thanks for coming by to check out the video. Thailand will in fact be ... A SICK DRIP.

Dayum N1 never going to Japan. Not even a humble brag, just shoots! haha. Good on you man. That's a tremendous accomplishment and effort. No one fakes the N1. You have to carry the boats! You have to carry the logs! No one quits! everyone dies! All jokes aside, they don't know you SON! I've my fingers crossed for your getting that position. Let me know how the battle goes.
@@DaveTrippin really appreciate it man, I only found your videos recently when I had an interview for a teaching job in Japan (and failed it unfortunately). but your videos really made my whole perspective on the country change for the better. Will definitely keep in touch 🙏🏾
FK Dave, you live. Great to see you diving into another passion project, fingers crossed it's a massive success for you and your team. I'm an old D&D player, but mostly stick to reading Heroic Fantasy novels these days. Still have my dice and figurines somewhere ..... Looking forward to following your business adventures. Hello Rypien. Long time no see. So glad to see you back and as well a veteran of the field it would seem. I'm a fan of a good old fantasy tome myself when I make the time. The journey continues and I will make the effort to keep things curious and interesting on the channel. I've an approach I want to try for how I'll make things. I never done it before. So that should be interesting.
Good to be back man. Glad to see you here. Thanks for checking out the video. It'll be a change of pace from what I've done here until, but that's the magic, gotta keep changing things up. Keep on renewing, re-inventing, planning.
@@DaveTrippin I totally agree, i'll actually be expanding on my end on what I shoot, to become more familiar with shooting in different scenarios. I'll reach out for tips, because you always take the most amazing shots.
Hey man thanks for the context I was being nosey on where you were. I was wondering why you were learning to code. It's nick Phillips I tried to make a RUclips channel but i gave up. Hence the name. But keep up the work. If your happy with it then put all your heart into it. Keep safe man. Thanx for the update you know we were waiting for it. Lol
Hey Nick. Not nosy at all. Honestly meant it at the end of the video when I mentioned how cool it was to have the odd person reach out and say something nice. That stuff is pure therapy in a lot of ways. A random stranger wishing you well does almost more good than it should. I'd like to reflect that back much as I can. Gonna hopefully put some inspring content across some screens in short order.
Well I look forward to it. Your videos are always worth watching. Goodluck with everything I wish I could help with the alpha testing but I wouldn't use it in anyway so I just made a patreon to help in that way.
Wow. Nice! What tech stack did you study? Maybe, you could shift the channel on how to live/start as software devs/foreigners in japan (I'm assuming you're using open api, I wonder how expensive it is)
The visa is called a "Smart Visa S Class" You're able to get them at a minimum for 6 months and must provide them with a business plan which they will or will not approve. You can also have up to 4 team members as a part of a single business plan.
Quite a humbling experience you had from 0 to knowing programming in a short span of time . Out of curiosity, after you been comfortable with japan ,have you considered staying with the skills you learned from the Bootcamp with the opportunities that may be there ? Since you mention living cost , I know there could be cheaper places in Japan. Good luck with your next adventure to Thailand though .
Now this is cool. I can't wait to see who comes out of the woodworks now with all the cool recommendations and experiences they've had in Thailand. I had so many opportunties when I was younger and missed them all. Feels like I am finally taking vengence on that missed opportunity. Lord knows the camera is going to have a lot to look at.
The crows and the cicadas right. So good we had the mic because if you don't, you can forget about filming out side in summer here. But we overcame thankfully. I'll admit its tons of fun with this new m1 air 13inch I grabbed to set up a quick little micro studio on a picnic bench and bash out a talking head video.
This part of the conversation I would like to understand and know more about. I've heard there's been shady scraping of information to teach the LLM AI which is less than super cool, haha. But equally I see the potential of these have to utterly re-invent our species creatively. Most certainly a crossroads in human history and one worth paying attention to.
While not an artist myself (I didn't invest time in the skill set) I do have a lot of artist friends who have to deal with their art getting stolen for these generators. It's done without their compensation for the seed work.
Hell yeah, couldn't be prouder. I'll probably sign up for that alpha testing and see how my group likes it

Just wait until i arrive and get something in the water that gives me brown river cherry blasts for weeks.... Gotta stay strong.
Japan spits everyone out in the end. Hopefully you gonna turn it around in Thailand. Beautiful country, beautiful people. All the best!
DRIP IS NUTS!
It would have been so funny if chat GPT said "I can't let you do that Dave"
You're so sure it didn't?
coding really is the way. glad i've been doing it as well. having passed the N1 without ever going to Japan, I really wanna get a coding job before I get to go there. hope you're well man
Super impressive accomplishment. How many years have you studied?
@@jackwilson8552 over 5 years
Dayum N1 never going to Japan.
Thailand, wow. 👍
Cheers mate, welcome back.
@@rainsleepstudios You are appreciated!
Wow. Nice! What tech stack did you study? Maybe, you could shift the channel on how to live/start as software devs/foreigners in japan (I'm assuming you're using open api, I wonder how expensive it is)
Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Bootstrap, Css, javascript. That's sort of the core but there was actually much more.
Awesome!
Charles, what visa are you on now?
The visa is called a "Smart Visa S Class" You're able to get them at a minimum for 6 months and must provide them with a business plan which they will or will not approve. You can also have up to 4 team members as a part of a single business plan.
You're back!
I'm back.
Well done Dave, I think you'll love Thailand :)
Good to see you here, Chris. Thank you. I think I will. Hope you're doing well.
No link in the description?
Fixed. Thank you for mentioning.
🎶Don't call it a comeback!!!🎵 ❤️ 💗 ❤️
You'd have to have succeeded first to comeback. ohhhh snap ;p
Wow very exciting news
It'll be a ride.
I had considered it. But this felt right. On to the next adventure.
Dav is ultra mega alpha Sprayer of worlds!!!
How is Dean doing by the way! Is he still enoying his Japan life!
He's doing very well. Actually on a path to be an officially licensed teacher within the next year.
Hey yeah it's been a very long time indeed! I would recommend Koh Samui or Koh Phanghan Islands in Thaialand!
I was asking myself if you were still in Japan, then I heard the crows in the background.

I don't approve of the ai aspect due to the inherent art theft required, but it's good to see youre giving it a try.
@@ToliBera That is blatantly wrong. I'd definitely want to learn more about that.
Dave Troopin !
The journey continues.
Good a headphone
I see you too are a man of culture.
Aya Ogura is hot

Good to see you still around. And I'm happy to see you branching into new things. ❤
