I'm back in high school with this album, F2F has always been my favorite band, I got to see them a few months ago in Fort Lauderdale and it was a blessing. This album is complete a masterpiece for this band taking it back to its roots.

I wish the guitars were louder, but this definitely reminds me of their S/T record from 1996, was it? My favorite Face To Face record is still Ignorance Is Bliss, though. That record was ahead of its time.

Indeed, The Blasting Room always doing a great job. I really love "Reactionary" and "And How To Ruin Everything", but their production/mixing sucks real bad.

Amazing! !!! these guys I grew up on and damn if they arnt still punk perfection. Cathartic pop punk that just makes me smile. punk purists might disagree, but this is punk to me.
Punk purists have always come across as whiners to me. Betcha most of 'em have never played a single power chord never mind written any good songs.
The really good shit, to me anyway, is very melodic, not just immature barking and snarling while playing two chords. So, if it's not "real" punk rock, that's fine with me.

+Bix Ouille - When shipping is more expensive than the album, I usually buy Vinyl, so I am able to listening to it digitally and have a Vinyl version that deserves the buying and shipping as a collection.

This whole album is really good, i was listening to it while driving at work and i was like "finally a good album from an old band" because Lagwagons album wasn't good, Millencolin's album wasn't that good, Good Riddances' new one was ok but this was really good. It's a combination of the S/T album, Reactionary, and Laugh Now Laugh Later and that last song could have been on Big Choice! I didn't have to skip 1 song in here. Now hopefully Trevor's voice can hold up live because the last video's I've seen of him his voice is shot kind of like Joey Cape and Russ Rankin

I flew out from Chicago to Long Beach California to watch the live debut of this album at Alex's bar. One the best times of my life. The band did a nice meet and greet and gave out free signed cd and poster. The greatest punk band EVER! I think this may be one best albums they released and I think Dennis finally came into his own on this album and no longer do I miss Chad.
Makes me wanna go skateboarding. But damn. Now I'm crippled and the shows were over 18 years ago when I was super into it.

ok, i have listened to this through twice now. Gotta say Double crossed is my fav on the album but they are all great! Protection is pretty sweet too, bent but not broken is a great opening track! I am stoked! Really hope they come back to Saskatoon soon!!!

+Pauline Alary Protection is very consciously a throwback to the first three F2F records, "Don't Turn Away," "Big Choice," and s/t. I highly recommend all three. The "Over It" EP is fantastic, also.
