Edit: Just saw your mom's latest vid where she was going out on August 16, and they had a short clip at the beginning with them running team in Fancy. So combined with that vid and this, sounds like things have really bottomed-out for everyone there. Will hope its just a short-term thing and y'all are back to normal quickly.

Katie. It's tough in trucking right now for us all. Rate decreases and lower volumes. I'd be carefull right now switching jobs as everyone seems to be affected no matter what freight we haul..... I'm sure Martin and Alice don't want to see those trucks sitting in the yard either.fixed espenses to be paid and no revenue coming in......don't know much about Ceva, but maybe since you guys are a team , maybe Martin and Alice could get yous longer team runs on a more open board to keep yous moving ... It just seem crazy that all of these companies are not getting the loads. Brokers are not paying and companies are closing there doors. Seems to me they are trying to put owner operators out of business whether you have your own authority or lease. Just stay with your family cause they will take care of you.

I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE WITH YOUR DECISION. My son and I HAD TO LET GO A DRIVER IN OUR COMPANY FOR SAfety REASONS., There were CONTRACTOR WHO WOULD NOT HIRE OUR TRUCKS BECAUSE OF OUR decision that was my point @@TruckingTogether
I would stay where you're at, I think it would be a good idea for your parents to look into hauling cement. I follow another O/O ( owner operator) on here, 'Just Trucking'. He got a day cab & got into hauling cement & it pays the bills. He , "Just trucking " got into hauling cement because the freight rates were getting bad , he's staying a float by hauling cement. Just an idea like one other follower said on here.

Trucks do brake down, I've been drinking truck for 16 yrs & I'm a conservative driver & so is she. The truck I drive is a 2015 with over 265thousand miles on it. It has it times where stuff does brake, I stay on top of things. Martin stayed on top of keeping tiny main taned.
