I love it when people take the time to fix dolls rather than toss them. It's so sad and vasteful to throw out something that could be used and loved för many many more years!
What a nice and instructive video! I saw the video when you introduced these 2 sad dolls and felt very sorry for them. I would never have thought of this acrylic stuff for repairs. What a good idea and the way you showed it very workable. We have a Rock Angelz aircraft with a hole in the nose. It may be useful for that too! Thanks for this video and sharing the information!
You can also get the odor free acrylic...although I'm told it doesn't work AS good (on nails anyway). I'm not sure though because I don't do nails, but had to when I was in hair dressing school and the odorless acrylic kit came in my school supplied hair, etc kit....which I'll use for this! Lol, finally excited that I found a use for it and held onto it all this time for a reason, haha! Thanks!!!
Great repair DIY. Very detailed and thorough. Our boys are always smashing their toys. So this is great to learn how to repair them. Like 41. Thank you for supporting our channel. Stay in touch new friend
Hi janine, I got mine from eBay - it is a small acrylic nail set - it mixes up soft and dried very hard so am be sanded down - I have never tried it on a hip but it might work 🥰🥰
Beautifully executed. I've been watching a channel called Nail Career Education and really been seeing the possibilities of using Nail building and art materials for dolly fixes and crafts. Is this set cheap on ebay or amazon and was it thrifty friendly?
thank you, I bought the set from ebay quite a while ago, but I am very thrifty so it wont have cost a lot, it does last a long time and it is as you say very useful for doll repair and crafts :)
Do you put conditioner or fabric softener in the hair? l find after the shampoo it's essential to bring the hair back to it's former glory (l blow dry it on hot after brushing, then blast of cold, works a treat) .. You my dear have such patience and love for your dolls, how lucky those dollies are to have landed with you! I can't say I'd have the same patience, sewing dresses yes, but hair plugging and glueing heads has not been a skill I've acquired lol.... Yet 😂😂😂..
Tracey Nesbitt. Aww thank you - I wash the hair with dish soap or hand soap then I use fabric conditioner, and I leave it in while I pour boiling water over it I find it helps to smooth it out - these girls hair dried really fast too :)

Heat up the plastic head with hot water or hair dryer to soften it up and the neck piece will come out easier
