I read somewhere that the devs were working on improving tilt control response on no-steering assist, or at least make it easier to beat this test. Maybe it was twitter official page. The steering assist is all off in the advanced tests.
@@pricklypear300 yeah I never really struggled with no assist until I played advanced tests, that RR Layout course was so hard on tilt, passed 8 of the courses on bronze 😅
Tilt user here. My best time is 12.783. It took me over two months to accomplish this test. For me, it was harder than green hell (last test). There’s no option to adjust the car settings especially the ABS and as someone who doesn’t use ABS, it was really a struggle. My only tips for my fellow tilt users are to just try getting the accurate braking points as much as possible and be wise with your gears (like in this video).
I would have never thought ABS would be such a problem for non-ABS users... it feels like I am just mashing the brakes while no-ABS users have to carefully manage the brake pressure all the time. Hope my video helped somewhat...
@@pricklypear300 The trick with non-ABS is that it helps you with setting up your brakepoints before each corner. That way, minimal breaking will become a habit. Another trick is that it gives you better entry and angle through corners without having to brake in them. I learned all of this mainly at the touge track from other pro-level racers. It’s hard at first but when you get the hang of it, it’ll be a breeze.
@@pricklypear300 I mean… I’m aware that assoluto has silly physics and it wouldn’t rlly be a topic of a game when it comes to realism but based from experience, much of what I talked about is accounted for. I’m not really good at explanations but to put it simply, in non-ABS, there’s this “flick effect” that happens when you turn the car after locking and releasing the brakes. After that flick, your car’s steering is pointed more accurately to where you’re going which puts you at an advantage in managing your throttle control compared to the majority of ABS users who would brake in the corner making them lose a significant amount of time. But still, it depends on how you use it (like how far you brake before a corner). Although there are some tracks in the game in which ABS has an advantage. And as someone who played Assoluto for 6+ years, yes, brake points are still crucial in the game much like irl. I hope this is clear lol.
You can make up for the time lost on Mutkurve. It's a deadly curve but not so much on GT2 as it understeers. Its a long challenge so make surviving to the finish line a priority... (but even I don't follow that advice all the time
Bruhhh I can't even get silver because if I try to launch the car early on corner it just oversteers af. They recently changed lvl4 and 10 so now you can turn steer assist but it's still hard
Mmm... If you can upload your run and show me how you play, maybe I could help you get the gold.. I imagine there are some differences between controls but the devs would have taken all o that into account, surely.
Trailbrake into a corner, and then use the throttle to rotate the car out of the corner. You have to squeeze every milisecond out of the car to pass this test. The time limit is a bit tight. I understeered a lot, so this is not ideal but I could manage because I was carrying enough speed through the corners.
@pricklypear300 yaa I realized that yesterday I got the closest to passing that stage after following your driving tho I still fell short by a second and 3 milli seconds how ever it's mostly the 2 Conners that require gear 2 that give me a hard time I have am still trying to pass the that part of the track with in 34 secs... and 47 sec respectively
@@rs_freeman1404 as I always say, I am willing to personally coach you if you can upload your run on your channel. This is not an easy test, so I understand the frustration. But you can do it. Use all the road but you have to let the car use all the road instead of just "drawing the line". If you carry enough speed, the car will use all the space you have on the tarmac. And the curbs, the red and white rumble strips, if you are really giving all you have and the car, it will start to make sense why those curbs are there. One second is not much in a two minute long challenge. Good luck!
It's been a year since I've last tried and completing this challenge. After watching your video I managed a 2.13.2XX, idk of you have steering assists on 0 or 100🥲 I'm mainly an arrow user so I'm not smooth at the corners
This was back when there was no option for steering assist settings on advanced tests. People protested, so the devs added that option later. I do not use steering assists on any of my videos anyway but that really shouldn't matter because it's just my preference and people drive better than me on assists. It doesn't matter in terms of realism either but that's another story. Use whatever that makes you smoother and quicker. A tip I found useful: drive like you are connecting the straight lines. Try to get out of the corner as hurriedly as possbile like your life depended on it. Of course oversteer should be minimised in the process but brake and accelerate like you want to destroy the car. Wring every last drop of grip out of it.
I have one test left but I have to do my daily workout.
Your driving is really great 😯
