    Marc Dumont is ultra woke and canceled Mailloux. I will take Alain Chainey’s opinion on Mailloux over Marc’s any day of the week and twice on Sundays. Alain loves his upside, top defenceman for the Habs.

      Dunno about this whole 'woke'/'anti-woke' BS that seems to surround practically everything recently, but besides that.... For everyone a bit too deep for comfort in the HuGo cult, remember who drafted Mailloux...along with Caufield, Roy, Guhle, Kapanen, Struble, Dobes, etc in his last 2-3 years in the organization. 😉

      @just I agree! Alain is a hockey genius and all Habs fans should listen to what he had to say on Tony's podcast. He says Mailloux is a can't miss prospect so that is good enough for me. My impression was that Alain considers Mailloux to be at least a 2nd pairing defenceman.

    For me Reinbacher is the Levshunov of this year's draft. About the same size, right handed, mobile dman, all around player.
    NHL teams salivate on big right handed mobile dmen, in recent years Jiricek, Reinbacher, Levshunov all went super high at the draft, maybe not the "best player available" at the draft, but this is the profil NHL teams really like.

    Kaliyev is the 1 I've always wanted. He is the biggest of anyone I have heard mentioned in trade rumors and he should be the cheapest to get. i.e. Necas, Zegras, etc would cost a lot more. Plus, he speaks the same language as Demidov - so he could help translate and interpret if he doesn't understand something.

    Reinbacher is ahead of any of the Habs youngsters as a prospect. He will have a year in Laval to develop…then watch out. Logan M. Will be high on the list as well. Hutson needs time in Laval to get used to the men’s pro game.

    • @HughJazz38
      @HughJazz38 Месяц назад

      Agree, Reinbacher is younger than the other defense prospects, has great size and skating and without doubt a potential top pairing. He was 19 years old and was expected to be the work horse on the worst team in the top Swiss league, comparable to the AHL. I have him over Hutson in potential simply because Hutson’s size will ultimately affect his defensive abilities. He won’t be clearing that crease like Reinbacher when it comes to playoff hockey.

      @evancodd6739 Месяц назад

      @yannik9341 Has more to do with the KHL wanting to keep their players. If someone wants those players then they will have to buy out the contract. It saves these teams money and allows them to recupe costs invested in players.

    • @evancodd6739
      @evancodd6739 Месяц назад

      @yannik9341 No its more strong arming from the clubs. These types of players are what makes them money. They try to lock them in long term and if someone wants them then they have to pay. Otherwise these clubs lose money from attendance etc.
      There's a reason why other leagues have agreements with the NHL so they don't lose players that bring in money for nothing.
      You are mistaking the order is all. They want to keep their money makers if they can. If the player really wants to leave then the buyout happens. If not they keep these young stars and make bank on them.
      Don't confuse the end result as being the main reason it happens because it's not. It's only a part of it and it's the end game part lol.
