    great fly i caught a 5lb plus brownie on it today,which isnt bad for uk stillwater

    Look like Denny Richard’s still water nymph. I’ve used that fly at the famous Cariboo lake that winterkilled last year for 15 years. Can be retrieved or put under an indicator with outstanding results. I once had a couple days at that lake much like you and Kathy had. Everyone was deep water chironomiding except me. Slayed the fish in shallow until people with binoculars(not catching fish) noticed. Why did Kathy stand up with bent rod? That begging for a crowd very quickly!
