Good Review. Disappointing that Tangzu put the Wan'ier driver in these shells by error. They sound good and look great - I will probably hold onto my set. Not sure if you bought these - if you did, you can 1. Return for Refund or 2. Receive a Free Changle Princess and Tang Sancai as compensation and keep the original set.
Hey bro, watch the tear down by HiFri Audio and you’ll see. The factory used the wrong driver according to Tangzu and they are taking care of it instead of avoiding it, big kudos to Tangzu. I wish they would put the titanium in the OG Shimin Li. I love the colors for ladies to use but the OG needs an upgrade badly.
@@thesonnytackettshow7949 I found that thanks Sonny! Hope all is well with you. At the end of the day the set still sounds impressive so I guess I’m not so worried about that.
@@hackinghifi4247 I really wish the OG was like this one. Those three colors , red, silver , and gold, work great for female vocalists( they like to match colors to jewelry, etc) . I have the Cadenza in four colors, the SSR in five colors, the 7hz Zeroes in five colors, and these in the three colors. I just ordered the OG Shimin Li in both colors, I’ll be getting this Encounter version today. I think after this first run they are changing to the driver they were supposed to use, which is carbon nano coated. This one is PET, so I’d really like to hear that intended driver. The first run is sold out, and according to Tangzu the next run will have the correct driver. But I’m keeping this version cause it will be a collector one of these days!! To be honest the metal shell and the two pin cable is an upgrade even if it has the Wan’er driver. I also have the Wan’er in both colors, the QKZ-HBB, the Hola, etc,a dozen each. I’ve got new ones coming in that’s $30-$130 for testing. I’m looking forward to the Lan, the Olina SE, Hexa, etc. I’ve pretty much got the budget end covered, going to step it up a notch now. We’ll have to talk soon!!! Sonny T
how is an audio reviewer not doing research about a product before reviewing it? then asking people in the comments where he can get the info? like huh? you want other people to do the work for you?
Thx Jeremy! Have a great weekend.
Thanks you too!
Nicely explained
Thanks for watching!

That’s awesome I had no idea! Where can I learn more about what’s going on and how to get the exchange etc?
Thanks for watching Tony!

I try and review products from an unbiased perspective so I’m not really plugging into the day to day discussions around sets until I review them.
