Doki Doki Literature Club! (sometimes shortened to DDLC) is a 2017 visual novel video game developed by Team Salvato for personal computers. The story follows a student who reluctantly joins his high school's literature club at the insistence of his friend Sayori, and is given the option to romantically pursue her, Yuri, or Natsuki. Club president Monika also features heavily in the game's plot. The game features a non-traditional plot structure with multiple endings and unlockable cutscenes with each of the main characters. Although it initially appears to be a light-hearted dating sim, it is actually a metafictional psychological horror game that extensively breaks the fourth wall.

So a complaint with the original ST was that MC was "annoying for no reason." Apparently having divorced parents wasn't enough of a reason for him to be angry and bitter. So after thinking about it and skimming through the F2U Kotonoha assets, I decided to play into a new angle.
STR MC has divorced parents, but there's also another reason why he's so bitter and angry at the world. It was slowly built up since the start of the story, but Kotonoha was a very important person to him. The day she died, though... everything changed. He not only became depressed, but he wanted to close himself off from everyone. As a side effect, he became a bit of a sarcastic angry jerk, but he wasn't always like that. Seeing this triggered some major PTSD he's been having to deal with for a long time, reopening some old wounds in his heart. So, to all the people who said he was an annoying jerk for no reason... how about now?
As for Amy, considering she didn't have too much character in the original other than "evil possible pervert girl," STR and Forlorn Heart expand on that quite a bit. As Nightmareninja himself put it, "She's a freak!" She hasn't been since since the original ST, sadly, despite how much I wanted to bring her back as a recurring character. It may have taken 3 years, but we're happy to give her the spotlight again, and for more screen time. Between the both of us, she is fun to code and fun to write, especially because she can be so unpredictable. She operates on her own agenda, but what is that agenda? Only she knows.

@@ardrethshadow9338 I do like the MC here, he is a bit of a jerk, but you can understand why.
And having him relive his trauma as He tries to rescue Natsuki is quite interesting And gives our MC more the reason to do this.
Also I do like how Amy is handled in this mod, I do find her quite entertaining
