It was wonderful getting to see this!! Florence was lovely, and Omgosh!! What a gorgeous head of hair she had!! My grandmother always told me, “A woman’s hair was her crowning glory!” My gramma was born in 1881 and lived until 1970, passing away when I was 17. Love so many sweet things from this era! Florence was wonderful!! Wish there had been some close ups in this film though. Would have loved to have seen her features more clearly!! ❤️💐
Beautiful lady. April 27, 1888 - Oct 13, 1917. Passed so young sepsis. Caused by multiple injuries sustained in a car accident, brakes went out. Car plunged down a hill, and she was thrown from the car. including a compound fracture of the pelvis. She held on for 6 weeks, was even improving, but passed away suddenly.
The portrait of the lady Ann is also my favourite. This was the first movie of hers that I have seen. This movie is over 100 years old.Boggles the mind almost.
We Canadians have so much to be proud of.in case nobody knows Mary Pickford was Canadian. And just before she passed away she asked for her Canadian citizenship back.yay Canada.
Lovely to see movement. It gives Florence life rather than just a name and birth and death records. She could have gone on to be as big as Mary Pickford. Such a shame.
@@stevencohen624 Yes very young. She was the first major movie actress to die while her fame was at it's peak. She sustained very serious injuries from a car accident and clung to life for 6 weeks in hospital before succumbing to sepsis.
They had to be REAL ACTORS back then. To express the language through the movement of their eyes their bodies their smiles their true expressions that proved their emotions! Now it’s just blaspheming God and cursing that any fool can memorize their lines to! Pure filth!

She had absolutely beautiful hair❤

Now 109 years old ... .
I thought it began poorly but was won over by the end--a touching fable and a stunning print! Thanks.
My favorite short film of Florence, love the balcony scene. As my favorite silent era actress I wish there were more of her films to see.
silentmoviequeen wasn't this special??? I loved it so much. I'm going to post it on my forum. forum.silentphotoplay.com if you're interested. :)
Can you see? Resemblance to Reese Witherspoon

Fabulosa! Temía verla creyendo que me defraudaría; pero me encantó. Una história sólida, concreta y bien contada; y con actuaciones maravillosas.
A beauty

Yes. I believe she was only 29 when she died due to a car accident.

Thank you!
Good movie.
I wished I lived in those yrs.I hate the world today
The great Florence
Lotta old flicks look and sound crappy, to put it bluntly. A pristine print is a joy to behold.
A more elegant time.
the costumes are mid 17th century but Florence's hat is early 20th century modern
1912 Was The REAL Year of The Titanic .
Wow
Was this excellent movie the first one about time travel?
More a bit of a ghost story.

I guess Norma Desmond was right. They didn't need dialogue, they had faces back then.
Wow! Even the horse had white face on. lol
@@meganrogers48 the point was the racist of that era that's his point.
