@wamerica Bronx, Philadelphia, New Haven, Bridgeport, Hartford, Waterbury, Yonkers, Harrisburg, Newark, Trenton, East NY all harder and more dangerous Northeast cities/areas than Mount Vernon. The only time I felt danger in Mount Vernon was almost getting rear ended.
Well you’ve got - Abandoned buildings and businesses - Graffiti - Loitering in the middle of the city - The west side is practically a ghost town - Poorly maintained structures or lots - Violence and crime
I'm from NC been to Mount Vernon countless times. Soft area. Nohing dangerous about it besides the traffic at times.

Fair enough but Mount Vernon also suffers through poverty and poorly-maintained structures.
