Hi Stefan, yes a DRF (along with various alignment methods) could have been applied directly after creating entities especially for GD&T callouts. He was just showing how entities are created/constructed from mesh geometry data. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to reach out anytime.
Great video. Why didn't you create the DRF alignment directly after creating the entities? Was it just to show what was possible?
