Still you see that Brian will never be the same. I saw the Documentary on PBS where a Rolling Stone Writer spent time with Brian. It was so heartbreaking.

While I obviously don't condone Landy taking advantage of him, ultimately schizo affective disorder ruined Brian. There's no cure for the condition, only management, and it and the drugs it led him towards is what ripped a hole in Brian that could never be repaired.

The Beachboys played one concert a month to pay a part of Landy's fees. I read it was $50,000. What we saw was the second go around with Landy. This time, he blocked his family. The investigation of Landy could have been thwarted much earlier if the lawyers knew what they were doing. Perhaps a transference if care would have been the right way to go. He was a different person after the Smile Album but still wrote great music.

Watching Love and Mercy, I thought Giametti was a bit over the top as Landy, but watching this i’m not so sure. What a creep.
