Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes should’ve been on this list as well. They deserve it a lot more than Imagine Dragons imo

So many smiths songs, and Souzie Sioux is completely left out.
List doesn't reflect the diversity of alternative rock that exists. Too many songs by the same 5 or 6 bands. There are only 3 alternative bands that deserve 4 or 5 songs in the top 100 - REM, Radiohead and Nirvana. I was able to put together a top 1000 alternative rock playlist on spotify and never repeat the same band.
Still I applaud your effort. Branch out - make yourself uncomfortable and you will find some great music in this genre.

This list is way off. AIC alone should have 2 or 3 in the top 20 off dirt and facelift. Tons of one hit wonders should have made the list saves the day and blind Mellon and tad for example not every song greenday and Radiohead ever put out should be on this list. Two thumbs down. Side note violent femmes blister in the sun top 10
