Absolute brilliance. It is very annoying, that many of Kylie's best songs remain unreleased on albums or EPs. This is a prime example, but we can go back to 1988, when 'Turn it into Love' was a smash hit in Japan, but remained unreleased, or 'Enjoy Yourself', which would have made a great single, or 'Closer','Cupid Boy' or the title track off 'Arphrodite'. The list is endless! Whoever is responsible for choosing her single releases should be sacked!!!
I hope her next album goes more down this route. More like Impossible Princess (my favourite Kylie record) and Hits+. Her disco era was amazing back in the Lightyears/Fever/Body Language albums, but she needs to reinvent herself again. I'll still love her either way though!
I liked Body Language, but Kylie lost much of the Fever heat when she turned down Toxic, with which Spears had a massive hit. Minogue came to a fork in the road and went the wrong way. I am still a big fan, but I cannot help think of what might have been for Minogue had she ridden her Fever success to achieve Madonna-level fame and significance.
My thoughts as well. Aphrodite was just a bunch of airy foo-foo pop junk. This piece is an odd mix for me. Glow makes no sense lyrically, and has alot of "meh" appeal. Wait is nice but sounds just like any number of US pop artists songs already clogging the market, just very generic. The last piece Break this HeartBreak, is very Kylie and despite being so short sounds really good.

However, one would have to make a pretty good argument that Minogue is not, over-all, a lesser icon than Madonna internationally, even if you subtract the U.S. Also, let's be honest here -- the U.S. is still the center of it all, and failing to get and keep a certain level of fame in America IS a career failure for an entertainer, particularly a pop singer. Also, just to be clear, my lament for Minogue is not just that she is no longer notable in America. I really do think that she had captured lightening in a bottle with Fever, and then turned her back on that achievement. Most of what came after Fever lacks the magic the songs on that album encapsulated. Ah well, we have Light Years, and Fever, which are perfection, and what followed is still better than 80% of what comes out of the music industry.

I would go as far as saying she is 20 years ahead of her time. I have never seen a more thought provoking video clip ever. Everything about this production is perfection. This could be released in 2024 and be a big hit worldwide! What an emotional dramatic piece of art perfection. She keeps saying that Nick Cave suggested that she go Pop. And I must say her Pop career has put her in a great place internationally but I think he was wrong! Her creativity and reinvention is much deeper and Sleepwalker is testament to that side of her. She is the "masterpiece" and seems to be ageless and can do anything. I know no other artist in the world who comes close to Kylie and her recent stint at Voltaire Vegas is testament to that. She is the first resident ever to be offered lifetime residency. Have to leave it there but I am dumbfounded today listening to this video clip that I didnt even know existed till day. I feel like I have been cheated by missing out on this incredible song until today 9 July 2024. Love Kylie, best pop artist in the world currently. Interestingly, people are really starting to realise how good she is. He back catelog of songs is so extensive. In fact she is flooding the world with songs that are bangers and were never released. How many artists can say that! ❤❤❤❤❤
Weird Kylie is my Favorite Kylie. Love these songs, love this direction. This was fantastic. Indie Kylie has clearing done some growing up since Impossible Princess. This is just as raw and artistic, yet beautifully polished and presented with stylistic maturity. Keep this up girl!!! Enjoy being an *Artist*!!! You've damn well earned the right!!! :)
Everything done with Garibey has been more interesting than anything on Kiss me once. I hope this is the start of a working relationship as I'd love an entire album at this experimental level.

I discovered this song a few months ago and I must say this is one of the best Kylie songs. Obviously I love the dance/pop side of her but Kylie has an Indie side that is unique. She should make more music like this.

I did not really understand why many people think that "Kiss Me Once" isn't good. I love this album and I'm a huge Kylie fan. I know she will find her way. She is amazing and I also love the "X era" You are amazing Kylie!

Turn it into Love is one of her most underrated and best early songs. Its still good in 2016!
