When I was young and would go with my grandpa to get a shine I remember a type of tissue papper he would put between my shoe and sock to prevent wetness from cleaning and polish swap. These videos are so soothing to see and the shoes never disappoint

Love the train spike. I want a compilation of that. Also what does it do for the shoe?
My best guess is that it’s his way of getting into and scraping the debris from the welt of the shoe. It’s not a typical approach (many people will simply use a dry brushing and toothbrush with soap to clean it), but one I can see the logic behind! I think the main benefit is the sound though.
Thanks Mr. Angelo! I have a love for good leather boots and shoes also. Could you please INCLUDE THE TYPE OR STYLE of boot or shoe you work on? Along with inspiring me to clean & keep organized the many many shoes I have, you also turn me on to NEW styles of boots. Not knowing the brand or proper style name to put in the web search box, I never really find what I’m looking for.
